priest quest did not need buff
It needs more buffs, MOOOORE, put it on par with paladin’s!
It’s actually playable now. Kinda. A 44% win rate in standard ain’t exactly screaming for nerfs. It’s fun in wild, though, where it’s a lot easier to make copies.
I’m gonna hold your hand while I say this.
it needs nerf soon as possible
I am talking about wild
Nobody including Blizzard cares about Wild. There’s WAY WAY more powerful decks in that format than Quest Priest.
no there isn’t
this priest finishes it’s quest by turn 3~4
from there and on you get beat up by two 8/8 that has taunt and revive and deathrattle of 5 damage each
if you kill those priest revive them.
if you don’t kill them priest copy and summon more
if you don’t kill enemy hero by turn 8? you get hit by mass amount of deathrattle attacks
it’s faster than seedlock,
and just as consistent as seedlock
Welcome to Wild. A mode where everything is broken and nobody cares about “Balancing” it because as soon as you change one thing another will pop up to take its place.
Last month it was Imbue Mage or OTK Paladin and now it’s something new and 3-4 months ago it was Seed Lock.
Please let the developers know how to do “Whack a mole balance” to Wild until you are satisfied. I’m sure they are eager to hear all about it and just not care.
Think about how long it took them to address seedlock in wild. They will either have to ban a card or you’re stuck with the deck until rotation.
There is precedent for banning cards in wild, it’s just insanely rare.
There are currently 16 decks with a better win rate diamond to legend, including seedlock. Even the venerable Kingsbane Rogue is doing almost as well.
It’s nowhere near egregious enough or popular enough for Blizzard to nerf it. And a nerf would make a bad standard deck into a horrible one.
Console yourself that only 3 out of 1,000 people are playing it so you won’t see it very often.
wrong right now I am facing them at least 1 out of 8? games
those data are flawed
and by the way I am in legend
300~800 range
Maybe it’s more popular there? At least for a little bit. Two streamers have played it in the last few days so maybe it’s the flavor of the minute? Hsguru doesn’t have enough data for high wild legend to give play rates. It doesn’t even make their meta list.
…there’s decks in wild that flat out kill you by turn 5-6
this deck also flat out kill you turn 5~6
it did the deck winrate was terrible
Honestly, I think priest needed a good deck like this. They haven’t had something fun and enjoyable in a while.
A lot of their decks are not as exciting and crazy as some of the other more variable classes. While I don’t enjoy playing against it. I’m happy for them.
I do feel satisfied when I win. Plus, there are other more frustrating decks to lose to.
Like Hunter and Demon Hunter. Paladin when they draw every perfect curving card and only hit your face.
Poor Shaymains
Like Rogue—get shafted—since their inherent design leads to some of the most broken combos in the entire game. I mean consistently from expansion to expansion.
I’m sure they care but wild players are veteran collectors. Not only do they want preserved nostalgia and history, but balance is nearly impossible.
The format is not meant to ever respect any deck or strategy. You will feel like Batman fighting Superman. Sweet and pure Harvey Dent pre-explosion. You’re going to end up jaded and fall into the dark side of the community.
Hold on trooper 🫲🏻
Don’t lose sight of the dying light. You’re not there for punishment. You are there for the gaiety 🫶🏻
Quest priest currently has a popularity of 1.9% with 45.9% winrate across all standard ranks, so it seems like there’s nowhere near a point to nerf it. It may even sees shadow buff in the future.
About wild, there are too many cards that can work with it, so I think it’s unrealistic to nerf that deck. Beside, there 're too many broken decks other than quest priest. So i think you should be prepared to live with it for a long time.
Went to HSGuru to see stats.
Not even a top 10 deck. Heck, BOAR Priest is doing way better.
With things like Imbue Mage, Hostage Mage, Seedlock, Discolock, Big Shaman, Holy Wrath Paladin and Libram Paladin completely dominating Wild, this isn’t even in the remote vicinity of decks that need to be nerfed.
I literally own every card and NEVER play Wild because well it’s just a degenerate format. That would be like playing Vintage MTG and complaining when i was defeated by some degenerate combo. You have to know going in that there is no such thing as balance and it’s all about who can draw their insanity first. I find that uninteresting to even participate in.
Clearly the design teams thinks the same way and that’s a good thing. People just need to understand this and make a sane decision whether to play in it or not.
