Who likes Barista Lynchen?

I see lists in standard an wild that use this card. I have friends that really like this card.

I myself, don’t like this card. While I don’t own the card, I’ve never built a deck an thought “Man, wish I had Barista Lynchen to add to this!”.

Can anyone of you explain to me why you like Barista Lynchen? What decks does she shine in for you? Does anyone else not like this card like me? In wild Zola>Lynchen imo. Rarely do Battlecry minions just stick around a board imo, an to many bounced is a hand clog, possible mil.

Omega agents, subdued protectors, so basically handlock in wild I could see using it. In standard we don’t have a choice.

I agree that in wild you want Zola over Barista. Zola costs less, so you can immediately copy something up to 7 mana in cost.

In standard, she is your only option that doesn’t cost tempo by bouncing the actual minion back to hand, so I use her in a few decks that like the hand reload (mostly just quest shaman).

I don’t know nor do I care about her performance in Wild but I like the card. She’s neat. Used her in my Pogo-Hopper Rogue, currently in Lackey Warlock and I could imagine you’d want to run her in Quest Shaman as well.

Well atleast you guys get some form of value from her in standard. Though it seemed like “we use her, because shes just our only option.”. Which is ok I guess, if she helps the decks I’d be surprised.

This has got to be my favorite use of her I’ve heard. Copying 1 drops are easy to replay especially when Pogo Hoppers constantly get +2 +2 when played, an Rogues manipulate how many they can play quite well.

Was hoping to see something unique where shes good an this might be it, but… its Pogo Rogue lol. Thanks for the answers anyway guys.

Quest Shaman an Pogo Rogue… Omega Agents is a neat idea, as any copy you added would trigger again.

This is generally the case. Personally, I’d still use Zola in Standard if I could. The occasional opportunity to copy several crucial minions later in the game when something like a Control Warrior is being more selective about their removal is nice, though.

Yeah! and I should have clarified that in Lackey Warlock you want to use Barista to get back those 1-mana 4/4 Lackeys, or even EVIL Geniuses for more Lackeys, after you’ve played Dark Pharaoh Tekahn. That’s pretty powerful too and more successful than with Pogos, at least in my experience.

I use Barista because I personally don’t have Zola. She is almost always worst than Zola, but it’s what I use when I want cheap value to be replicated, mainly Jade cards.

She’s mostly just been okay when I’ve tried to use her. Her big benefit, as has been mentioned, is if you can copy several smaller battlecry minions, like Pogos or Lackeys, etc.

On the meme-ier side, I do have a plan to try to use her as one means of copying Mogu Cultists alongside the Shaman quest. I haven’t tried putting it together yet because I still need to craft the quest and a second Cultist. I’ll probably wait until after the adventure comes out (presumably with some additional packs) before I craft those and try out the Shaman Quest-Cultist-Banker-Barista combo idea.

Yeah, she’s essential for a tempo oriented quest shaman.

Also decent in quest rogue, tho brawlers are probably better.

Barista is the new Zola.

When she came out people thought it sucked and then slowly discovered how good she was and started using her in value decks.

It doesn’t fit in many decks but it is very good in the deck she’s played used in.
When you think about it she’s a perfect fit in a deck that runs many powerful battlecry minions.

Turn 10 Quest Shaman:

Hero Power,
Cable Rat,
Lackey,
Barista

You get 2 Rats and 2 Lackeys, of which you will get double BCs.

I’ve used her before in quest shaman and quest Rogue but ultimately cut her for other things. She’s not bad though.

If you only knew what she can do…

I use her in my lackey handlock deck for standard. Versus warrior I use her to copy Omega Agent and against everyone else o usually just copy lackeys. She adds a much needed value for the deck heading into late game.

Barista finds a home in many Standard decks. I love her personally. Great flavor and game-winning value when she’s used correctly.

Control Warriors use her to copy Devastators and Dynomatics.

Battlecry Shammy can keep up their resources when she copies Lackies, Lifedrinkers, Bog Sloshers, and other cheap battlecries.

Rogues can use her to keep up the chain of Pogo Hoppers and Lab Recruiters.

She’s a great card to have if you play decks that support her, but she’s not a “must have” legendary by any means.

Because look at her effect (value generator) combined with reasonable stats - how do you not see her powerlevel?!

The only things that gets me is that Lynchen should have been Elise.

It’s actually a great card.

I just wish the metaslave population hadn’t got aware of her potential, thus making her the umpteenth wallet-control-legendary in the Harrison Jones list.

She is.
I think she’s really underappriciated even in decks like burgle rogue in which she makes perfect sense. Worst case scenario: She’s an ok-ish body that does nothing but tank some minions for you (which basically never happens in burgle rogue nor in battlecry shaman since you generate so many cards). Second worst: She gives you back a Lackey. Best case (me 10 minutes ago): She’s getting you back something like your Tess and 2+ premium battlecries that you also have on the field, basically refilling your hand.

Barista is prime example of a card being ptentially crazy good but she doesn’t see play because half the player on ladder only copy what is popular without even reading the effects of cards in their collections.

Is she worth crafting? Depends on the deck. But she is 1oo% worth a craft if you even play one of the new shaman or rogue quest.

Forget rogue and shaman. What scares me the most, is people bouncing back a Dynomatic and two Omega Devastators. Or their beloved Reno/Zephrys. Good control players always have some sort of bounce / resource refill: I was literally forced to craft Zola so my Renolock could get to rank 5.

Luckily, Barista isn’t as oppressive as Seance + Benedictus.
