This has happened a few times before, and it’s broken again with Titans. The way I understand the card, Whizbang has a dynamic list of 22 decks, corresponding to the #2 and #3 recipe for each hero. This list should always match the list shown in the client when creating a new deck, and update with patches/expansions.
The current list seems to be the one from last expansion, I just got a Warrior deck with Renathal in it, which was called “Melodic Menagerie”.

This happened to me as well. Relogging did not solve this. Occurred on mobile (fully updated).
That used to be how the card works. I’m not 100% sure how it does now, but I think it’s usually an expansion or two behind each time a new expansion comes out. idk why. Sometime around year of the gryphon is when it stopped working how it used to.
I noticed this patch note in the upcoming 27.2 patch and it got me wondering if an issue like this could be related to the problems with Whizbang. What would happen if it gave you a deck with cards banned in Wild? The Priest card Switcheroo is also banned in Wild and is part of the Astral Array recipe, hmm. This feels like a tricky problem where the only solution is to make Whizbang a Core card that can only be played in Standard.
Updated the Core Priest deck recipe to replace Crimson Clergy with Beaming Sidekick. This resolved a bug where that deck couldn’t be played in Practice or other adventures that use the Wild card pool (where Crimson Clergy is banned).
At least in the past, that just worked without issues. There have been bug reports here from people who saw a banned card played in Wild and assumed it had to be a bug, but it turns out that they were recipe decks.
Each of the wild-banned cards has a very specific reason for its ban. They all enabled combos that Blizzard considered too overpowered or too oppressing, even for the Wild format. So to disable those combos, they then banned one of its key cards.
The deck recipes do not contain those broken combos, hence it is not unbalancing that the banned cards can still appear in a recipe deck.
I’m happy to report that Whizbang is now working correctly as of the Badlands expansion. Thanks Team 5!
i want to confirm this , before it was running with some like 6 recipes for every class , now it works with 2 recipes for class ( like it should be ) .
Good for hunting new achievements when cards are missing , but now can’t run old recipes for old achievements. can’t have both
