Hey guys I’m pretty new to hearthstone. I used to play magic the gathering with some friends of mine and what I seemed to really like were my red/white deck and my white/black deck. I have no idea where to begin in figuring out what would be close to those lol. ive messed around with some of them a bit and have no idea what im doing
Hunter is strong right now and has 4 viable builds. Trying to parallel MTG colors in HS doesn’t really work that well so I’m just going to stick to my Hunter recommendation. Zoolock is also good for cheap, soneone hit Legend rank with only commons and rares playing Zoolock (which is a Warlock deck)
If I recall correctly, red was burn-heavy, white focused on lots of small minions and black did a lot of resurrecting, correct?
If so, hunter is a good suggestion - it’s burn heavy and runs a lot of token decks, but it also has buff-centric builds and secret (quickplay)-heavy builds. It is a class that is heavily focused on tribe synergies at the moment. Very aggressive.
Druid is more limited at the moment, with a heavy focus on token decks. They have a lot more board-wide buffs than hunter and get quite good at bursting 30-0 with a medium board in the mid game.
Warlock and paladin lack the reach of the other two classes, but can also mimic the token game plan of druid and hunter with ‘zoo’ decks. Zoo decks in hearthstone don’t have the same tribe-focused implication that they do in magic, but they do allow you to build strong boards and refill multiple times per game.
One thing that you will notice compared to magic is that hearthstone has a lot more personality to their heroes, so enjoying the hero’s personality and themes is often as or more important than enjoying their play style.
Beast Hunter is pretty good, even without the legendary. You can climb very well and it’s pretty easy going. You almost just play on curve and make people rage lol… I’m not gonna lie I hate playing against Hunters so, yeah… Especially Beast Hero Deck. I kind of fully know what to expect when it comes to Mech Hunter. Every deck does the same stuff, and just vomits their hand all over the field, but I’m actually more scared of Beast Hunter because I never know how they tech… Some use that 1/1 charge pig into Dire, other’s use the 1/3 into Dire for a long game you will hate playing against… and others have wild things you just don’t even expect compared to the net decks… Just out of nowhere! BAM! SURPRISE! Yeah that just happened! With Mech… idk… I expect every single turn, almost predict every turn, and I’m not pro lmfao
The one thing I will say about Mech is, you’re about to get a free golden Sn1p-Sn4p, so maybe that’s the right deck to make based on the future. I do think the Beast hunter is superior (right now) though, and a lot more scary.
“Play on curve” and “vomit your hand” seem to be your ways of saying “midrange” and “agro”, lol.
Mech hunter and beast hunter are pretty even right now. Mech is a little more favoured in aggressive and token match-ups, while beast hunter puts more pressure on control.
hunter does seem to be pretty cool i made a deck i found on icy veins and have won each match so far
