The only playable discover card i can quickly think of, in wild, is Zeph, and Jaina.
This sounds like a “down with Zeph” post, and while super subjective the card is, i fall on the “totally” side.
I’ve never liked zeph, dont like playing reno decks in general since 1 card a turn gameplay, and the novelty of the card, memorizing the basic set, or is it classic set i cant even remember since i dont play it, wears off.
Zeph just feels cheese to me. It’s super, mega, predictable bc if you see a reno deck, ID’d by turn 1,2, you know zeph is in their deck, with certainty.
Now, if Zeph had a different requirement than the-same as Kazakus and Reno’s, then the card would be cool bc a different type of deck would use it.
Kaz Zeph Reno is just a package deal, and thats pretty lame.
If you are one of the forgettable classes, it’s just Zeph Reno, i know, thank you for sympathy, will hit u back w some jewels.
The big thing is Zeph takes away from deckbuilding, it says, let this card smooth over what you didnt plan for in this matchup, let this card negate time that should be spent in the collection manager, let this card cross class-boundaries, but not for what matters in wild, just for removal usually, as obviously removal while great at aggro, does totally nothing v combo.
Its not like there’s a zeph-possible rat, anti bc, anti spell, anti draw and such. There’s anti ice block, and anti-singular demon. Silence is unplayable in non aggro bc you can’t silence a card in hand.
Hey, that’s an idea, Blizz come on do this.
Can we please get a: “silence the left most minion in your opponent’s hand, their left, not your left, bc usually that’s a combo-piece from youtube sitting there” 1/1 token card, 1 mana?
Just do that devs, would help wild out. it would have to be < 5 mana though, required, or it’s too-late, example bloodstinger in hunter, which technically could be reduced to like 5 mana w 1 cost beast discount, at a hefty cost to your draw.
