As The Title Says, Here Goes.
What Was ACTUALLY Wrong With Classic Mode Was…
The Legend Climbing Ladder System for Placements Being Too Long in The Monthly Moon:crescent_moon: Cycle For Players To Focus On Other Things To Work For To Give Money To Blizzard Instead of No Money To Blizzard On Classic:star:.
So Yeah.
Just Bring Back Classic and Make The Legend Climb Shorter and Less Overall Incentive To Keep Staying In Legend (and Can There Be A Classic Tournament Too?).
The HEARThstONE needs to Heart HerSelf With the Blizzard Developers and Make An Everlasting Core Mode As Classic. (You can do minor tweaks until You feel like You have it like Chess where ALL THE PIECES MATTER and the Game Would Be Even BETTER!!!)
The over abundance of emotes makes me want to bleach my eyes.
You could make a pacifist advocate for war with that text format, impressive achievement.
What was actually wrong with it is it gave too much XP and rewards to bots, also people didn’t pay as much money because people could just enjoy Classic with cards they have and ignore the “modern hearthstone experience”
probably was the most popular …among the players the mode had its own sub reddit and
it had many complains about extremelly long queues before bots and when it got flooded by bots people often complained about facing only bots from bronze to legend
That works for pc only style games but not for mobile device games. If a player needs to wait too long of a time (for them) to get into a game they will more likely close hearthstone and load a different game. The exact opposite of what the company wants. They want to occupy all your discretionary available playtime, so that the most likely place you will make a microtransaction will be with them.
As for Classic, not enough people were buying classic or golden classic packs with IRL money. It became a mode where a player could get enough cards for a deck to farm the mode for the prizes each month and ignore the new releases. The exact opposite goal the company needs any mode to do. Every mode needs to provide an incentive to make microtransactions a likely choice a player will make, and with IRL money. Its why you see so many bundles and special promo offers in the store.
If a mode can be farmed and no incentive is there to make purchases… it will likely get the axe like Classic and Duels got. (I wish they had only discarded Heroic Duels and kept casual around… casual duels didnt have the ability to be farmed like the other modes had.)
I had a similar experience. I played a Druid deck and met my fist human opponents close to Legend. Got Legend a few days later nevertheless. The deck was also pretty good.
I can confidently say i know i played at least 1 human as well the first, last and only time i played Classic to legend. My daughters name popped up and i yelled upstairs to her while she was laughing that we must be the only two humans playing Classic today.
Maybe they should add a classic/legacy format instead then…choose the “year” of hearthstone you wish to play. Sorta like that one twist month that was awesome going through all the expansions one per day
