Just opened Raza Resealed… is there anything I can do with this guy? or is this a disenchant angle?
Seems like hes useless, yes you can run him in highlander, but you cant OTK with the reno hero power…
in wild what, I craft archbishop benidictus? well that defeats the purpose of that deck, because its supposed to be aggro and raza is a whopping 5 mana
so does he do anything…? or is this a meme card I just throw in when I need an extra card. IK hes not good in standard, because I simply cannot find a single deck that runs him. And I dont think he works in wild… because real raza is just better, and shadowform belongs in a aggro deck, something raza resealed doesnt belong in.
Im tempted to disenchant, but that feels bad
any suggestions? or do I just hope for a real legendary next pack
Keep it for now, in my opinion. It’s very likely to get better over the next few expansions and could even be decent if more decks get nerfed. It’s not a bad card at all. In fact, there’s some good use with it in the Reno deck so it has potential. It’s not that the card is bad, it’s pretty dang good. The problem is Highlander Priest sort of sucks. Need to wait for Priest to get some more support in the Control department.
Ig that’s true, but I don’t have any priest supporting cards for it(I have the entire automaton set/titan set for priest) but I didn’t open anything for priest in badlands, ig I’ll keep it, as much as I want to disenchant it.
I really don’t understand how it’s good tho, what made raza priest good in the past was the hero power costing 0. The infinite refresh would have(and was) useless without it, you need both bits of the combo.
I can run paper angel ig, but I’d only have one in my deck. With raza priest you had a 3 card combo that was super good, and a bunch of good supporting cards. This feels bad. You don’t have the xtra damage you need from the inspire card that was ran in Raza priest. You need paper angel or you can’t do anything, and it seems the only way people can get it to work is with the xtra turn dragon
It’s good in Overheal priest and it’s good in Reno Priest. But those two decks suck rn. It might be good further down the line if shadow priest ever becomes a thing again. Maybe they print Hero cards next expansion. In the right context, a card like this can be busted. And it very likely will be at some point.
I’m still doubtful, the reason old raza was good was the hero power discount. Without the discount I don’t think it can work. Which means you are 100% banking on paper angel living a turn
Overhead priest I don’t think will ever be good, heartbreaker whatever his name is is useless. I’ve played against the best overheal decks like ever, and they summoned 5 heartbreakers, did a total of 35 damage, and still lost
Well u have a point but I think individual cards can be objectively good. Like, if 4 years from now they reprint Odyn but for 5 mana everyone’s eyes would pop, even if when they print it there were only like 2 armor gain cards in warrior. I think this card is akin to that situation. But sure, u have a point.
In theory priest is one of the classes that could use justicar if they don’t have reno’s upgraded hero power. There are parts and pieces that could make use of a heal for 4. Namely overheal stuff and shadowtouched kvaldir that turns next healing to damage.
Though of course we’re in a meta that isn’t very friendly to such slow strategies.
In combination with the reno hero power and the minion that has your hero power trigger twice, you have an otk if you are interested in those kinds of decks.
Raza is better because you start in Shadowform (since Shadow Reno Priest has completely eclipsed the non-Shadow variant) so Raza is basically just a 5 mana Anduin.
