The release date for the expansion is Tuesday, 19th of March most likely at 10am PST/ 1pm EST/ 19:00 CEST/ 18:00 BST. (From Hearthpwn).

I make that 1 hour and 45 mins from time of posting but I don’t think mainland Europe is running on CEST at the moment so it could be 2 hours and 45 mins, which more accurately reflects the time the patch usually falls.

I can only speak for the UK, we are running on GMT at the moment, not BST, so if these times are correct, the update is coming an hour early. I’d be more inclined to believe they just put the wrong time zones for Europe and we’ll get it at the usual time. Either way it should be within the next few hours.

OK cool - got confused because of CEST (=summer time). It is CET now (=winter time)

Keep in mind that many times it takes longer(up to a couple hours) if you are on mobile.

I dont even remember the last time i got to sit on my PC to play an expansion launch.

Damn, we are going to bar with my friend to play a bit, so this is kinda screwing those plans.

I know that previously they “fixed it”, that it was released in some expansions up front. Hope they do it this time as well.

I think this only happens when there is a patch, but this expansion was already introduced in the latest patch, so there’s no download happening. The expansion should go live at 18:00 CET on both mobile and desktop versions, no delay.

I might be wrong tho, that’s a guess

I hope so as well, regardless we should know in about 2h.
Lets see if the servers can handle the launch and if theres no bugs that prevent the shop from working.

I always keep an close eye on the bug forum at launch days. I rather wait a few hours more and wait for an potential hotfix than screw something up.

The delay comes when the respective play stores don’t have the update available. Since the update has already been released last week, the expansion should be active immediately if you’ve updated since last week.
It’s like Blizzard is hitting the “on” button.

Does anyone know if there will be an update or some sort of indication to launch the game when the expansion comes out?

The update has already been released. Just log in , in about 7 mi Utes, and you should get the yearly astrological rotation animation.
