What Standard deck to craft on a new account?

Back in December, because I was curious about how the Apprentice Track, some free premade decks, and the 5 Catch Up packs would impact the new player experience, I created a new Bnet account with a collection on all three servers. Then I quickly abandoned those collections for over 90 days, which allowed me to comeback and get 5 more Catch Up packs and the choice of of one of 6 premade decks, which can be claimed in six more days.

I am seeking advice about what premade deck I should claim and what Standard deck I should build for one my new collections. Here are some pictures of the premade deck choices and some deck possibilities with how many cards that I am currently missing for those decks.

I think the premade DK deck may give my collection the most value, since it provides Helya, The Primas, and Reska, along with some other missing components of the plague package.

The Shaman deck provides Reno, Lone Ranger and Doc Holli’dae. I already have Yogg-Saron, so the warrior deck just provides Odyn.

Rainbow Mage would be the easiest deck to build, because I already have Sif and the deck just needs infinitize the Maxitude and six rare and common cards.

The collection has 950 gold and 1100 dust in additional resources.

So what deck do you recommend to craft?

I would say go for hunter. Easy to build q
And easy to play. Mage and mech draw rogue are one of rhe most skill testing decks out in standard. If you wanna brainless devk go for brann control warrior. It’s easier then hunter xD

Thanks for the suggestions!

I have been really out of touch with Standard for a several years now. About once a year, I will jump into Srandard and play a few days to get to Diamond before taking a long break from the mode once again.

I am really indecisive about whether I should bother with playing Standard this season, despite the opportunity my new HS collections are providing me with to check it out, without the risk of wasting any resources on my main account.

Just prior to Whizbang’s release, I looked at some of the new cards and it was very obvious to me that it was going to be a badly balanced meta, with Paladin and Warrior being among the first classes to be needing nerfs.

The post-nerfed meta still looks horrendous. I see players mostly complaining about DH, Reno Warrior, and Hunter. I took a glance at legend players on Twitch today, and they seem to be mostly playing three decks: Priest, Warrior, and Warlock.

Zilliax looks like a safe card to craft, because the card looks good enough that it might get nerfed again down the road. So, Zilliax Rogue might be a good choice to try, since the rest of the deck looks cheap to craft.

I may wait until next week’s nerfs before I make any final decisions.
