What is worriors weakness?

I’ll admit up front that i have gotten frustrated with loosing to control worrior tonight.

I just have to ask, what is woriors weakness? They have so much armor gain to ignore anything less then a wide board, but have numerous cards the punish that severely ( warpath, brawl, dynomatic, ect) . They have high damage output so they can most of the time deal with big threats by the tyme they come out too ( dynamatic, shield slam, omega devistator, Militia Commander). As well a enough resource generators (omega assembly, dr boom) that you cant really plan on running them out or resources either.

It Is not impossible to when agenst them i tend to play with a lot of refill potential in my decks and sometimes they cant clear my board the 3rd or 4th time i rebuild it. But a lot of time they can and do and it is really frustrating to play agenst.

End Of Rant … i apologize if this irritates anyone but i had to blow off a little steam, and i was curious what others think as well.

Mech paladin works well

Do you mean meta decks or in general?

they carry no threats and their purpose is to eliminate all threats and then outlast you. So the key is tempo and threat that can force a warrior off their removal. 3 minions may be enough to threaten a brawl while not overextending your own resources. Also, warrior board clear always have issues with deathrattle. If your minions have deathrattle, it counter brawl pretty nicely.

You have to make ur entire deck so greedy to beat warrior it hurts you vs everything else so much you are better off not doing it and just losing to warrior so you can fight off everything else.

It just dosnt seem like unless you get lucky that there is a good angle to attack them from, they seem to have tools to deal with everything but the most degenerate decks ( summoner mage, mech paladin, ect)

The best way for most decks is to just play stuff as fast as possible and smorc and pray they have no clears because if they do u lost anyways so just go for it

Control decks are generally supposed to be weak to combo decks. In a meta where control is very strong, and has no combo decks, the control decks are going to be very oppressive. Better hope that Cyclone mage is good next expansion too, because, if it’s not, you can be rest assured that control shaman and control warrior will dominate.

Weakness of Ctrl Warrior?

Sticky minions and dropping big threats repeatedly.

Usually Mid-Range that demand Warrior to have removal for every single turn.

That’s nonsense.

There is 1 type of deck that always gets the Nerf-Hammer from Blizzard, that’s Combo Decks (next to Aggro).

Getting one-shotted out of nowhere middle of a game is most likely the worst feeling in the entire game of Hearthstone.

They don’t counter Control, they counter many other things too… in mirror Match, whoever draws their combo-pieces first wins the game without a chance for opponent to make a comeback.

Meanwhile Control Warrior usually dodges nerfes. Hence why Control Warrior stayed in early days of Hearthstone as one of the best decks, year after year. It’s deck that has more depth than other decks and gives opponent EVERY CHANCE to play their deck.

If there is 1 healthy counter to Control, then that’s Mid-range. Mid-range Hunter was always the counter of Warrior… and even today it’s still like that.

Smart plays, I know it sounds bad but overall I feel that most of the time I lose to Warrior its because I overextended the board or not had the guts to go hard enough onto it with good reads on what he has and doesnt have in his hand.

Warrior doesnt really have that great removal tools in the early game and the once they have is restricted to having armor etc. And with a strong board with strong minions its hard for them to contest it espeicelly if its mech.

Warpath usally cant get work done until turn 6 unless your facing someone spamming 1-2 health minions on board. And if there is powerful cards in play and just two Brawl isnt the best either removes a threat for 5 mana and keeps one still in play.

Rush package makes them abit less vulnerable atm but overall I feel that as long as you maintain tempo of the game and have enough on board so you can deal with a rush minion and still be in control the Warrior will fight from behind and have trouble getting out of the game alive.

Warrior may be the class with the kit that punishes bad play the most.

That’d be secret builds and rogue, imo.

Yup.

The keys are to constantly play minions with good stats for their mana, sticky minions that are hard to clean with single removal, and have a way to still act without overextending (buffs, burn, removal, draw).

Apparently “card draw and generation”, hahahahahahaha, hahahahahaha!

Warrior’s main weakness is 1 hour mirror matches. You can only take so much of that lol

Mech Paladin, Warrior themselves, and Bomb Hunter beats it very efficiently. Try going tall early on, Warrior can’t deal with that time after time. Mechs are definitely their weakness.

They worry too much and never get anything done. That’s their weakness.

Mid-range Hunter can beat control warrior about 75 to 80 percent of the time. Unfortunately, it’s a fairly greedy deck/build, so it has major problems with other more aggressive decks.

Contrary to what people believe, bomb hunter is not strong vs control warrior, it’s about even, maybe slightly unfavored over tens of games, depending on tech cards. Bomb hunter is stronger vs the more aggressive bomb warrior that has less armor and removal.

You can probably pull off a mid-range Hunter that has 80 percent win rate vs control warrior and 48-52 win rate against everything else. It’s when the meta turns aggro that you will lose outright dropping your win rate to low 40s and you will have to switch.

Sometimes I play the mr Hunter just to disuade people from playing control warrior, but usually the meta turns aggro pretty fast after a solid streak of wins. Current meta is far too rock-paper-scissory for me, I’m not even going to bother to get to legend this month.

Honestly, I play midrange as well, and most of the time, Warriors end up losing, but every so often, it’s a good well-fought match, Midrange Hunter is a good, cheap craft and counter.
