What is the True Problem With Demon Hunter?

No.

Aggro DH is green across the board except Soul DH and Warrior.

So unilaterally nerfing Soul DH would put Aggro DH in an even stronger spot than Soul DH and ETC Warrior are right now.

To add to this, their card draw mechanics are built into their damage mechanics.

2 mana 2 dmg draw 1
3 mana 4/1 minion play next card get 4 damage (ridiculous synergy + efficiency for the DH aggro deck)

Gassing out, being one of their only weaknesses is akin to your opponent nut-drawing their mulligan - it rarely happens. DH can miss their mulligan and still have a 70+ % chance to win.

Fair enough. Maybe I’m wrong on this.

I did notice that I’ve almost never lost to an Aggro DH from whom I snagged early board control quickly enough, though.
In fact in several of these games, just snagging the board control that way got my Aggro DH opponent to concede.

I’m not saying it has a 100% WR. Almost no decks in any matchups do.

In most circumstances the aggro DH player will be victorious more often than not.

DHs needs to be addressed. They have to calm down a bit with their current power level and wait until the other classes will get their rework next year to be even.

No exploitable weakness is the true problem with DH.

The “doing it better than anyone else” class identity meme is mostly true. They arent the jack of all trades, they are the master of all trades.

DH (Along with aggro in general) has been given many, many new cards that are strictly better than old cards. They’ve been given a better Arcane Intellect, a better Shooting Star, a better Jeeves, a better Fiery War Axe, a better Defender of Argus, a better Feral Rage, and a better Duskbreaker.

After being handed so many great cards with extremely efficient stats that make older cards look like a joke, in addition to their own slew of unique and powerful mechanics, it’d be shocking if they didn’t end up as a top-tier class.

The problem with demon hunter are 2 things.
1 every demon hunter card is OP and don’t need good card draw.
2 is not much a problem for demon hunter himself but the player against the demon hunter. I can win from a demon hunter with rogue. BUT OFTEN when I play against a cheap OP WIN class like priest and DH my card draw is very bad. The priest and demon hunter are already strong enough to win with a beginners deck and the game choose them to win by giving me bad card draw. I got some counters in my deck but if I don’t get them I lose. I often don’t get fan of knifes for all the 1 hp minions. And when I get it and play it the next turn he spawn again 3 or 6 rush minions. (Same for warlock vs shaman, I never get hellfire when needed and lose)

I tried something. When I only have common cards in my deck I often get opponents who only play 1 card of each rarity except common. In a match. But before when I put all my good cards in a deck I only get priest and mages as opponent. So unfair.

Problem is, that Demon Hunter have superbusted cards.
Just an example:
Mage card, completely playable - Arcane Intellect, 2 mana, draw two cards.
Demon Hunter card - Acrobatics, 2 mana, draw 2 cards, if you play them in the same turn draw two more
And Acrobatics is even weak, because DH have much better draws (Skull of Guldan, the 2 mana draw 2 card etc.)

I was playing Priest, having 23 lives, taunts, opponent have no board. And he just killed me. Lifesteal weapon for free, pumped its attacks to 10 with twin slices and Relentless Pursuit, played Ilgynoth and Kayn, boom - 23 damage to face ignoring my board for 10 mana in standard.

And ignoring the shameful silence of Blizzard on Reward Track topic, leaving cards like this existing makes me want to uninstall the game.

How many Demon Hunter cards were nerfed in last year? 13? Still the best class by far margin??

it may be useful to know the most popular decklist for each one

are the VS ones accurate ?

Unlike other classes, they don’t get bad cards

Honestly Soul DH wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t due to their massive amount of lifesteal, that way they would crumble to any fast/aggro deck… right nownthey can just ignore most board for 7 rounds and then heal up when their life gets low whilr still doing damage to the opponent

hmm
are you reeealy sure about that ? im pretty sure there are several ones not seeing play

The true problem of DH is that they exist.

The moment it have a 1 mana hero power, there is no salvation.

We have been trough this like a thousand times already dh does everything other classes do and more.
While some class excels at one thing or 2 dh just does it out of ordinary, its cards are too efficient and has way too much way to refuel between hand vomits that would otherwise tire other aggro decks out…

1 mana hero power would not be a big deal if the whole class wasnt built on it.
Its an unconditional 1 damage to anything for 1 mana wich you will always ahve spare and never going to amke a decision between "i will use my hero poer and i cant play something out of my hand this turn or i play it and dont hp none he just hero powers every turn cuz it was made that way, its not a tempo loss in any way you just get positive out of using it)

Twin slice buff made no sense ppl were asking it needed a nerf instead they said okay we are going to amke it cost mana now but need to compensate(wich made no sense at all) so now still everyone runs twin slice and its still dum as hell of a card.

Too much lifesteal no hating here this boils down to dh having too much card draw again NO sht if someone has soo much draw that can dig down 15 cards deeper by the end of the game than i ofc he will have more answer than i have anything.
And ofc you would ask but hey if someone draws that much how does he has the mana to play anything else after draw and here comes the cheap in omg like soo cheap every second dh card has either “draw more cards LUL” or “mana discount all dayz baby!” that it makes you question your life choices.

And omg mana wyrm was not nerfed or gutted like it got pissd on it so hard and droped out in the cold that i almost feel sry for it but than dh got that dumash dog for 1 mana.

cant take you serioulsy now that you claim people are running all DH class cards

Noone takes me serius i would be supprised if anyone ever did(if someone did i feel sorry for you).

My opionion doesnt matter and make no differenc its only just to spite some ppl regardless.

And ofc for self entertainment.

they seem to have all of the up sides to old school zoo, but with none of the negatives attached.

card draw and generation without the minion tax and life loss.
spell damage with no negative effects or over pricing.

then add in
added weapon damage with massive life gain.
dragon priest level card synergy, ie really easy to use/achieve and powerful.

obviously this is going to be broken. at its height, zoo, which was solid but not S tier, had cards nerfed and cycled out.

ps i miss the days of mech/feeze/grinder mage, control warrior, zoo/handlock, face/midrange hunter, mid range pally, steal priest. so many decks you could play, and actually have back and forth games that really felt like your skill mattered.

wtf the best high legend DH deck is OTK Il’gynoth deck, that is only deck what works on there and i don’t see problems on that deck way to counter is priest BS card ‘‘swap hands’’ otherwise be agressive and force them to heal so they have to use some combo pieces to heal own face, in the end they run out of heals because they are forced to keep last lifesteal pieces on hand for lethal …you are the place who need to count is it save to play 1,2 or more minions late game …from how many minions/lifesteal weapons DH has left on deck after early game.

(good counters huge minions ,divine shields ,taunt ,ooze, something what mess up his deck/hand … and Spellbender )
