We used to be able to buy the BG pass with gold before, now there is literally nothing for BG players to spend gold on. It would be nice to have some bartenders, heroes portraits, strikes or boards even if it is old ones.
Asking for the BG pass to have an option for it to be purchasable with gold would be asking too much for blizzard but at least let us spend our hard earned gold on something “worth”?
Yes! 100% agree. I bought the battle pass this latest expansion and I thought I would be able to do it again. Instead they introduced a different currency that you still have to pay for with real money. Sad
Sadly, there is nothing we can do about it. Well except boycotting the BG pass but we all know that there will always have some whales somewhere who will buy it anyway.
you can always stop playing bgs, or play other modes where gold can be spent. The only thing that might change their stance is if you cold turkey all of hearthstone and have a huge social media presence and constantly refer to this being the reason further spreading your example to others to follow. If you lack that broadcasting ability then my first sentence is your best two options. Until you begin contributing to the providers of the entertainment you take for free you cannot reasonably expect the free ride you got to enjoy up until recently to have been a forever entitlement. I get not all people can afford to buy the pass, but expecting there to always be a free way to get it is just a ridiculous stance to take. I’d say just stop giving gold to BG matches entirely so your question could be answered easily for you, but I dont play exclusively BGs so I benefit from the current status of gold earning from BGs benefiting the other modes I play in.
What is the point of BG and mercenaries in the same client of HS? They don’t share anything, they may as well be separate games with separate currencies and better quests/rewards focused only on a single mode
Stop playing and let the whales fight each other; they’ll get tired and stop spending. If you join the fight at a disadvantage, it will only fuel more buys and you’ll never play it fair for free.
The same point as dust rewards for Arena players.
Nothing,they should remove the gold reward. Or maybe add some cosmetics we can buy with gold. Or a button to skip the combat phase for say 10k gold.
I dont know,getting gold is still better then not getting it. But it would be nice if we got something to spend it on other then on constructed/arena.
It truly makes no sense and just goes to show that these guys don’t know what they are doing. They should just make the battlepass like 5k gold. Anyone that spends money on the game will buy it, while the free players can struggle to earn the gold to pay for. I won’t pay for it. I’m at around 8800 rating now without it, but would be a lot more fun with the extra hero options. I’ve got 44.6k gold saved
