What is the point of gold anymore?

As a mainly battlegrounds player (just like most the players left): what am I supposed to do with gold? All I can buy is card packs.

They’ve put out like 4 or 5 card backs that you could unlock with gold, but virtually everything in the shop is money ONLY. They can’t put a gold price on ANYTHING? Not ONE of the finishers? No ANY of the skins? Not even the old ones? Why even give me gold?

Why would you assume most players are solely BG players? That’s an absurd conclusion to leap to. Also, why did you post this in the “Singleplayer forum”?
