I want to improve my skill but couldn’t find a good player to learn from.
For example, Asmodai/Sjow has a high MMR, but they barely explain their moves. Firebat is very good at explaining his thinking process but he is not a really good BG player (only around 10k MMR).
There are many good BG players (like the Russian guy just won the tournament last week) but they either don’t stream or don’t speak English.
Kripp would have been my pick before he started smurfing. He’s still good for learning what comps you could go for, but not how to not die while getting to them since he’s playing bad players on purpose.
Kripps a fairly average player, he just streams a lot. He constantly makes questionable decisions that end badly before blaming RNG and has slow APM and decision making speed.
Dog’s about the best for picking up tips for high end play.
Kripp is good at BG, but wouldn’t recommend watching him if you’re trying to learn. As others have said, he does a lot of smurfing, games against subs that have weird rules, and doesn’t really explain his moves much. He’s a lot more entertaining to watch if you already know the game well.
Dog is by far the best to watch to learn in my view. He does a good job explaining and he’s just the best player at BG. Savjz is not bad either.
He’s way above average. When he was trying to win, he was regularly at the top. He does blame “lag” for failing to finish his turn after starting with ten seconds left, and “neverluckys” after losing a 70% match, which isn’t a good attitude to pick up if you want to win.
The best BG streamer imo and he’s very good APM (some of his khadgar pivots are nuts), watch his stream and you won’t regret it…
You’ll be astonished why you were watching all the other clown streamers play bg’s when their skill level is so much lower, plus he explains his thought process.
Definitely an informative and educational stream to watch (pretty fun too).
I guess dog is another option… he’s also fairly skilled.
He doesn’t try hard with it very often but it’s completely false to say he’s not good at Battlegrounds. As I said, he often smurfs or just plays casual games with subs for fun because he gets bored with laddering. But if he went all out, he could easily be in the standings.
