I thought blizzard was going to rush instead of charge in the future what change. now have spell send as large amount minions at face with charge.
Ready to ride? Taste my steel!
They did the right thing when almost deleted this cursed keyword of the game.
Then they regret have done ONE THING right in the game and decide to ruined that too.
When you get to heaven, our Lord and Savior Leeroy Jenkins shall pass judgment. No chicken for you!
As much as what is said is true, Iâll go even further and claim that Rush as a keyword has created real problems for how the game has evolved.
The game went from potentially having your minion survive a turn to utilize its aura effect and body, to needing to have an immediate impact to be good, or else it will just get destroyed before you get a chance to use it on your next turn.
I believe what made HS interesting was slowly building a board through strategic trading, rather than todayâs meta of explosive board swings that, if not answered, lead to a quick concede from the other player.
they realized it was a bad idea and brought it back!
Rush (like discover) was fine when it was budgeted appropriately
When I read this, I donât see the developers destroying one meta and replacing it with another. Instead I see complete noobs playing Arena decks in Standard against each other, then getting gud. CCGs are much more fun when youâre terrible at them. If you want to have as much fun with a CCG as possible, stubbornly resist getting better and only play against fellow hyper scrubs.
You concede faster and more accurately the better you get at the game. Conceding fast means that the mystery is gone, because youâre smarter now.
I donât believe thatâs true.
People have different likings.
It seems more likely that this is your personal belief, but that doesnât make it a universal truth.
I find that the sweet spot for enjoying a card game lies between pro and casual play.
(for me)
Of course, this requires being skilled enough to beat down players at that level, as winning is important to me. Ideally, I should either win, or lose based on luck factors.
Did they actually say theyâd guaranteed never print anymore charge minions? If so, is this readable/watchable (if spoken, said by someone thatâs still in charge) somewhere?
Legit asking cuz i usually donât keep up with their posts.
Iâm not sure exactly what was said at the time because I canât find it, but somewhere around Feb 2021 when the Core set was first announced, Stonetusk Boar and Bluegill Warrior were planned to be changed into rush minions, but player feedback from mostly wild players got them to replace those two minions in Core instead
Iâm pretty sure this event is what OP is referencing

THIS POSTED BACK 2018
âWe talked about that a lot - whether it was better to change Charge, introduce a new keyword, or to introduce a new keyword and also change all of the Charge cards to be Rush,â Whalen said.
âThe biggest thing that we talked about was you know what Leeroy Jenkins does, you know what Stonetusk Boar does. You know what all these old cards do and changing that is pretty disorientating. It would also mean that these old cards would become much, much weaker. Leeroy would get much worse, so we decided not to do that yet.â
Yet?
"I think itâs something we still have on the table for the future. You still have a lot of opportunities on the design side to put in powerful things. Look at Militia Commander. We canât make that card if it has Charge. âFour mana 2/5 with Charge, Battlecry: Gain 3 Attack this turnâ? Itâs just insane. With Rush though itâs a card that we can make, and itâs pretty cool and exciting to play with.
âCharge as a mechanic is really fun - itâs really great to be able to play a card and do something with it immediately. The thing thatâs not fun about Charge is having your opponent do 20 damage to you on a turn from an empty board. Thatâs pretty miserable.â
Nothing there saying anything about no more charge.
They didnât spam the keyword and use It ocasionally.
With that said southsea deckhand is basically stonetusk boar with extra steps.
Could have gone to wild too.
