so gold i think is average for standard. whats average for bgs? 5000? so 6000 would be platinum, 7000 diamond?
7000 is legend. Less than 1% of the player-base can reach that rank.

I know they posted something a while back, but the ranks have changed and reset a couple times since their initial post about the distribution.

It says only 1% of the players can get to range 6000 or higher. Legend in rank mode means 0.5% of the players right, so that’s probably the equivalence of 7,000MMR in BGs ?

So that changes with the reset I am assuming? Those would represent current trends not historical?

It changes as time goes on. There is an inflation that happens with mmr. Last season top 20% was above 8k i think and 1% was above 11k or so. The longer the season goes on the higher that number gets. Tbh the rating system is kinda stupid and needs to be broken up into tiers to achieve something.
Atm the tier system just kind of represents games played till you are around the top 1% or 10k. After this point you stop getting as many points for 4th and sometimes get negative points for 4th. Which kind of slows down the inflation a bit but it still just a rating system that basically shows # of games played + you doing average/slightly above average.

I think with the new changes to the ranking system ie resets and increased MMR while your ranking up to where you roughly were before the reset
The stats from before shouldn’t change too much purely because you blast through the lower ranks so quickly
I got 75mmr for coming 7th yesterday
I’m a bit surprised though that “legend” rank is considered 8k and above
I would of thought 10k would of been the benchmark
i kind of feel like at 4000 is where everyone knew what they were doing and you had no bad decks or players. so i guess its going to be a slow crawl from here on out. i watched a few kryparian videos to get better and he is currently less than 5000 i believe. which seems weird because hes definitely better than me and plays way more, im at 5500ish right now. i got 100 points for getting 1st at this rank, and ive came in 4th a few times and got negative so the points are way harder to come by nw

I think the current reset was about readjusting the ranking points. I would expect it to be lower across the board to narrow the bands. I was 9k+ before the reset and I am already only getting 100pts for wins at 3k rating.
Only doing BGs for quests, then get 3000 easily. It must be the bottom tier.
I’m bouncing around 5400 right now so I would say that is the average position. Or maybe slightly above average, so yes 5000 is a good estimate.
