So curious if people not getting quests are playing on mobile devices and if they have updated their clients for HS and Bnet to the correct versions?
I didn’t get a daily yesterday, and had patched all clients well before then.
And yet they never were. Games have always been released with bugs, and before the internet the best you could do is look at the computer magazines to see if the disk that came with it had a patch for your game.
It sounds like thousands of people are having problems with the quests. In a game where millions play it that would be less than 1%. This is easy to slip through the cracks. The game is a lot more complex than a lot of people complaining seem to realize. Don’t get me wrong, complaints are good. It gives a company a chance to see fix their mistakes and try to make things right. It’s just not fair to expect what sounds like perfection when in the video game industry it has never existed.
I found I have a bug where I don’t recieve my quest rewards unless I exit the game and rejoin. Kinda annoying
Hey Blizzard. I think that there are two separate daily quests bugs, one affecting returning players and one affecting all players. It appears that returning players cannot get the Returning Player quests since the Duels update – some people had these quests but as soon as the Duels update happened those quests disappeared and only the Duels quest was active. And for everyone else since then, they never got any Returning Player quests. And in order for us to get any quests at all, according to support articles, we need to complete the Returning Player quests. So, because we do not get the Returning Player quests, and we cannot complete the Returning Player quests, we get no quests whatsoever. This appears to be what is happening anyway. I really hope you guys look into that, because it is effecting a lot of people, and it feels like there’s no good reason to play the game without quests. Thanks.
Did no one even wanna mentioned that they have months (if not years) preparing for big event like this, and still it has major issues when released?
Not enough planning? Not enough Beta tester? Not enough workforce?
I say Hearthstone team is too lazy.
And since they don’t solve this issues as quickly, I can only suggest to lower rating in Playstore/Appstore to 1 star.
So I was one of the affected players as I didn’t receive weekly quests last week. This week though I received my weekly quests as usual with no problems at all. I’m glad that will get compensate it for them and I hope a fix for other players comes up shortly.
I think a compensation is in order Blizzard.
Thousands of people are complaining, and hundreds of thousands are silent. You are underestimating the severity of the problem.

So are we going to get 2-3 weeks worth of XP as a compensation, since that many quests can’t be held at one time? I was really looking forward to reaching the next free legendary… and here we can’t get weekly gold or anything anymore. It’s like you’re doing it on purpose so we have to pay money for packs.
It’s actually also likely that the devs had gotten a non-movable deadline, knew about the issues, told their managers about these issues and how long it would take to fix, but were told to push it out of the gate on time regardless of these issues.
A lot of gamedev management takes the stance of “The players will accept the issues if we tell them they will get a patch a week or two after launch.” And the managers frequently shift the internal blame either to low skill developers or lacking resources, rarely do they ever accept that they’re not good at managing a team of developers on a timetable.
Once upon a time Blizzard had a “It’s done when it’s done” policy, that has not been the case ever since Activision got more control.
Why don’t just throw away the new quest system set it on fire and give back the working one with better rewards than a 6 year old reward model ?
