Was the Tsunami change supposed to be a nerf?

Because this patch is so bad to the level of any sane person demmanding a rollback.

Not that it will be happen but let’s be serious here:

The only goal of the patch was to make new cards that are junk compared to our old ones barely playable.
The meta got in fact worse with only 2 decks being considered competitive viable.

And people defending this BS only defend it because of some pet peeve deck they did not like to play against was nerf or if they are power reset fanatics.

I think it is fair to call it the worst patch done to hearthstone in years.

Correct, but the tsunami change was not a buff.

The buff was the deletion of pirate DH and locks.

it’s always: “Burn the witch.”

The conniving conman is the card that needed the nerf IMO. It sucks getting hit with 8-9 mana spells on turn 5, 6, and 7.

Yep, before the nerf, tsunami was strong enough that cheating it out faster was the strongest possible play.

Now it has been weakened so that the deck’s strongest play is to cast it repeatedly, which also used to be a stronger play.

The deck is weaker now. They won’t even consider nerfing it again until a few weeks after the next set launches, Renathal is gone, and we know what the new meta looks like.

maybe they could change conman back to “card not of your class” instead of “non rogue card”? are there a lot of people playing Paladin-rogue tourist in standard? I have only seen one person ever try paladin-rogue tourist in wild and they lost to me. Wait, I think I remember a long time ago one beat me, with repeated sea shanties or something with charge, it was pretty cool actually, but oh well.

“it has less minions spawned so you have higher chances to fully utilize Conman the following turn (less board-locks),”

Mentioning this as a positive (or negative) as I’ve seen several times, doesn’t make sense. It’s neither.

It makes almost no difference whether you have 4 elementals on board and summon 2 more. Or you have 3 on board and summon 3 more. You still get the same outcome of being able to attack with all of them. if anything, summoning more is a POSITIVE because you can trade in your nearly dead ones then cheat out 4 more that still get to attack. When cheating them out, more is always better.

in random news; is anyone else already sick of seeing renathal in every game regardless of class?

It was refreshing for awhile seeing less aggro but I’m over it now because aggro was keeping some other things in check lol.

It’ll help when Renathal disappears and lets aggro have more breathing room again.

40 health makes most fast decks struggle quite a bit.

Still waiting for the 20 health 20 cards deck.
