How are you meant to deal with this …
Turn 2 6/6’s and if it doesn’t end there and you clear there goes the never ending 3/2 summons.
And if you don’t lose there go and get a new deck with 10 cards of your choice, the deck is OP by Standard’s standards.
If everything is broken, is anything broken?
Played against it today. Beat it today.
I actually assumed it was going to be some nutty WoD deck, so I just jacked up the board with tiny things in case I was hit with a Nether Portal so I could follow up with some big boys and end it.
Kinda quirky what the deck actually is. Got him past all the scary cards including the leggo Lifesteal/Taunt minion. THEN he pops Whitemane. Chose some interesting cards, but I knew I had him. It was just a matter of whether or not they wanted to play out their loss or concede. They conceded.
Anyway. My point is the deck is not broken. I actually used the portal to my advantage and let it fill the board. I just went face most of the time and used spells/HP to deal with minions if needed.
i understood pretty much nothing of what happened in your game, what deck were you playing?
Anyway, i have and played whizbang, and the shrunken decks is one of the more powerful, i’ve won all my games with it.
The least powerful from what i experienced is the septuplet (automaton) and the quest deck (shaman).
I beat shrunken warlock with Highlander DH… yeah that should say how “strong” it is. It can highroll sometimes, but it’s not good. All the whizbang decks aren’t good. It’s a fun card but a good card? no lol
He’s talking about the 20 card deck you get from Whizbang’s card.
and so was i. i was referring to your post. It so vague i understood nothing about what you did to win.
The shrunken deck is the 20 cards deck warlock with nomi and elysiana.
I had, there are some RNG with the deck, if you discard some key cards like elysiana or nerru, it’s going to be much harder to win.
Anyway, i maintain it’s one of the strongest deck of whizbang.
He discarded zero key cards. one of the 6/6’s and a spell. He had the dream roll as far as getting to where he was in the game, but I was playing a Rainbow DK deck so I had a lot of reload and ways to deal with his board.
Good. I wasn’t trying to make it point by point in my explanation.
How does that support “it’s a broken deck” again?
Where did i say it was broken? I say it was one of the strongest of whizbang. Anyway, i’m done, you’re clearly arguing in bad faith and you just want to brag about your hearthstone prowess. Have at it.
Sorry for causing a commotion guys I was just a little frustrated over my opponent getting a very good hand with it. I do think that it’s one of the stronger Whizbang decks but not broken:)
Let’s read the title of the Topic lol
I mean I can grab my hsreplay if you sincerely need it, but I hit the main points
I’m playing at Bronze 6-5 right now because I haven’t played in a year. I ain’t here to brag about anything. I was simply supplying evidence to my rebuttal of the statement made in this topic is all. Also, a little bit of confidence boosting of not losing faith when you see it. I concede I only have one example, so however strong my example is, I don’t really know.
I think it’s considered balanced because some of the other decks are just terrible and you can’t win with them.
It’s a very high roll meta right now from what I have seen.
Yes, if everything is broken, it does not balance the game. This idea that if everyone can win with out of nowhere, then its balanced is such a troll response.
It was a joke, happy you got it
No shame in claiming turn 2 6/6 opening is broken, just because there exists a deck or two that can deal with it.
It’s absolutely broken, and the card’s balance lies in the fact that 50% of the time you get the unplayable deck like quest shaman
I think they made this so they can test how overpowered early game can be for something to be balanced. They’re probably testing other things, as well. For example, I’ve never seen anyone run 3 quests, and one of those decks is shaman with 3+ quests
I played against one yesterday that had the 6/6 taunt out on turn 1…
Played fracking which burned a furnace fuel making his deck 10 cards on turn 1. Played coin and got the 6/6 turn 1 and then followed it up with another 6/6 taunt on turn 2… They then discovered some kind of buff card with the scarab on turn 2 and buffed his two 6/6 taunts to 7/6 taunts on turn 3… that was “FUN”
Couldn’t believe something like that was possible in standard but there it was.
One time I beat him. The best. So good. Am God. Then I did a thing with a thing because I am me.
Even the most overpowered deck can be countered of you literally build your entire deck around beating just that particular deck, but that is unreasonable as you cannot choose your opponents. 90% of decks have zero answer to pain warlock as the strength is NOT after the deck blows up, that is their insurance if they didn’t kill you by turn 4-5 already. Bad draws are a thing, so one anecdotal victory, especially with zero info, doesn’t make the deck not broken. My lord, man, why?
