Warlocks are too strong, shamans are way to underpowered

The Abyss Curse is absolutely broken and needs to be revised, way too much damage and there arent that many ways to defend it.

Shamans are way too underpowered now that they lost heaps of the old cards and the new cards arent that strong. This also needs to be revised.

So they should be underpowered, just not “too” underpowered?

Shaman is doing well. Freeze Shaman, Burn Shaman, Battlecry Shaman, I think even stuff like Dragon Shaman is good.

Shaman is doing far better than Warlock. Every warlock deck is trash.

I don’t understand why they didn’t give to paladin the pirahna archetype: it would have helped quest paladin a lot, but in shaman it doesn’t seem very useful

Ehh… Not that much really.
Since you don’t want to play the same 1 cost in the same step, and piranhas 1 drops are the same card, there’s no real synergy there.

If anything, spacing the piranhas out makes them weaker.

There’s also less generic board wide buffs that actually synergise with the piranhas in paladin compared to shaman.

Shaman is doing fine rn and you can counter Abyssal Warlock by just not dumping hand. It makes the ramp much slower and they end up not playing curse cards because they just become “do thing for 1 or 2 extra mana than it should be” if your hand doesn’t have enough space for curses. Yeah, you might burn cards but burning cards isn’t as bad as people make it up to be and now with the Dredge mechanic, you can decide what you want to burn if it comes to that.

Curse warlock deck has like a 39 percent win rate…

It’s actually slow. Unless you combo off the curses with brann/Tamsin

Shaman has plenty of decks better than it.

Could you please inform me as to how Curse Warlock is absolutely broken?

I’ve been hovering Diamond 3/4 the past couple of days playing it - Quest Hunter is an auto concede due to the interaction between curses and their quest, it can’t keep up with pirate warrior (like a lot of decks right now), if you don’t early draw perfect early spells and combos you get overwhelmed before entering the mid-game against decks such as midrange Demon Hunter and Pirate Rogue.

The new curse control cards are 4/6 mana, you can’t feasibly control a board unless you have early control, otherwise, Tamsin/Customer were already fine 6 mana board cards, just like the new Abyssal Wave (albeit with a curse interaction)

warlock is really bad right now. I have been playing three other class ( Mechadin, Pirate rogue, mechamage and nagamage ) and they all perform okay. But warlock has no good deck, curse is too slow against even control deck like mill priest, control is bad, quest has lost all of its supports and murloc isn’t working well either.

So yeah pretty bad expac for warlock.

I’m banking on more curse support come the miniset. Some players here say that Curse Warlock is legend viable. Players on Reddit argue the opposite. I’m not sure who to believe. I know that from personal experience, I do terribly with Curse Warlock. But, that’s only a data point of one.

You actually have it completely backwards, which should tell you something.

Quest Paladin could have received every class card from every class this expansion and would remain horrible. They’re doing players a favor by not supporting that dumpster fire of a questline.

Clearly this person hasn’t faced enough druids yet. We should all steer our druid games to him and let him think about his position again.

Yeah I think it’ll get more support then…or hopefully there are buffs because warlock is in bad shape right now.
