Warlock Curses?

You should not take damage until the start of your next turn. Taking damage before having a chance to counter it is hilariously unfair.

You get the damage once, you decide if will take or not the second hit.

The deck is pathetic weak when other classes can kill in turn 5 or have a 12/12 in turn 2, maybe this change after nerfs.

It is a control killer deck, but unfortunately for warlocks, control decks are not allowed to exists anymore.

yeah but the hits keep increasing. once you get so low its death for sure just by having it in your hand. I feel I should have a chance to use my mana the best I can to counter without taking damage RIGHT AWAY.

The deck is definitely not pathetically weak. Your vision is distorted by how powerful the 2 tyrant are (frost DK and evolve shaman), but curse imp remain a very potent deck.

Not distorted, if you try to play curse warlock the deck will be stomped by the two you mentioned, what represents more than 70% of the ladder right now.

A deck with less than 30% winrate is pathetic weak.

After nerfs maybe this change, I will not hold my breath, but for now is pathetic weak being stomped most of the time and don’t have any free wins against anything.

you do take damage at the start of your turn and we always take damage before being able to do somthing about it

or did you forget about all battlecries spells damage and weapons in the game

I think he meant “weak relative to today’s best decks”. Nevertheless, the deck is still powerful and still tier two.

Have you heard of the card Fireball?

i run finley on all my decks

i play it whenever my opponent adds 2 or more curses new hand i get rid of the curses for 1 mana

That’s not a bad idea. Thing is, you only have one Finely, and need to draw it in time/at the right time .As for the OP, I think Mand summed it up well.

Exactly. And this is garbage. And the reason for the OP’s greivance.

This reasoning can be applied to burn in general, though.

No I didnt forget. Its just that this damage keeps increasing and they are able to keep the cards in your hand every turn. I doesnt seem fair at all

The problem is the double whammy.

Lets look at the intention of the curse.

Spending mana to remove a card from your hand is a punishment on its own.

You wanted to play an 8 mana card? NO. You will use 2 mana to dump a curse and have 6 left.

This effect is similar to saying “your next card costs 2 more” or “you have 2 less mana your next turn”

THIS DOESNT EVEN ACCOUNT FOR THE DAMAGE! OR the amount of cards you want to dump! You wanted to play an 8 mana card? NOPE you will remove 4 curses and lose your turn!

EVEN AFTER YOU TOOK THE INITIAL DAMAGE!

Lets recap.

  1. Initial incoming damage
  2. Mana loss if removed
  3. Turn swing if you play 0 cards
  4. Hand disruption (chance to burn next card if hand is full)
  5. Climbing damage amount
  6. Outgoing damage if ignored

Curses are garbage. They are poorly designed and oppressive.

And ban Braan.

Remove initial incoming damage and I have no problem with curses. But the double damage is crap.

they need to work like the do now to be used as awin condition

hmm to keep them playable the damage and the mana cost should be doubled if they are changed to damage at the end

You are aware that curse imp warlock was tier 1 and tier 2 right before the mini set broke evolve shaman and dk, right?

So when these two get nerfed tomorrow, what do you think happens?

How on earth anyone can claim curse imp warlock is garbage is beyond me. It’s been a top deck now for like 6-9 months.

nothing wrong with that

i dont think this deck got to be as good as frost dk and evolve shaman are now

is ok for a competitive deck to exist
is good to have more viable classes not less…you are asking for this deck to be killed so warlock wont have a competitive deck

Ridiculous. Show me where I said this.

Never mind the curse that leaves a 3/4 body on the board, too.

“Hey, don’t play your own cards and burn your draw and they can’t hurt you!!”

Not a fan of the curses at all.

I was excited for curses upon their reveal. I quickly found that I did not enjoy ruining my opponent’s experience. I would have preferred more murloc support, although players may be sick and tired of murlocs by now.

I hate to say it, but players far better, smarter, and knowledgeable than myself are predicting another rise of Curse Imp Warlock (which has not gone away, to this day, sitting at high tier two).
