Want to beat Paladin? Don't viper their 1st weapon

Yes, it is indeed possible to beat the paladin overlords.

Don’t waste first viper on their first paintbrush.

They are always running a 2nd paintbrush and the super greedy are running Ignis now.

Yes, they may still have the 2/2 Goblin and the 3/5 Mech. But so long as you run enough removal and stall you too can draw blood from the gods.

Just remember team, never leave any smol minion alive. They always have a 3/3 tailor ready to mega buff it.

until we meet again friends. poof

Off topic, but can we get viper to silence and then destroy weapons?

I am so absolutely sick of King’s bane rogue in wild right now.

You have to run sticky fingers for that.

Not quite a silence and destroy, but steal is as close as we’ve got.

That depends on your deck… if you’re playing something controlly and have lots of removal that could work. If you’re playing something agro or midrangey (and have a viper) you absolutely want to smack their first weapon because you won’t survive long enough to even see the 2nd weapon if you let them get full value out of the first.

Yeah, it’s a dumb advice anyway. In the end you only remove 2 weapon durability anyway and removing stats later is almost always worse than removing stats now. If you do not destroy firts Paintbrush you might never live to see the second.

As soon as I put that in the deck I won’t see them anymore, lol.

(kidding)

You may be kidding but that is indeed how it works

Isn’t that still a win though? 1 card swap to delete your worst and most hated matchup!

I kind of wish the game worked like that sometimes. (But not really)

It’s hilarious to me that people think like that, but here we are.

I mean, wouldn’t you just have to experiment a bit and then you could make it match you to exactly what you want to play against just by stacking your deck right?

Yep, you would. So if you ever had a tier 1 deck, you could easily make it tier 0 by just adding 1 or two tech cards against your worst matchups and never see it again.

But yeah… That just doesn’t work.

Or just play DK and get free wins.

Not on my watch. DK has been the most common opponent this month and I win 90% of those games. Very easy to beat.

Reska is useless when I drop 30+ damage from hand in a turn.

Wrong DK deck. Try playing BBP and it’s a different game. I’m not stealing your minions i’m just constantly sweeping your board. It’s an off meta deck but it’s very good against sticky boards and specifically Paladin. I used it against Druids before the nerf with moderate success as well.

By the time you have the 40+ damage in hand to do a Leeroy and Pirate OTK i will have taken you down.

Which matters not when I otk your face.

Again, DK is not scary to me.

If you say so. I’m 17-3 against DK this season, so just keep them coming.

It’s a silly argument but no almost no one plays BBU other than me and Dallen. I think I have faced BBU only once in last 3 months. But this deck totally wrecks Paladins. In my run to Legend last season I went something like 15-0 against Paladins. The only problem are stealthed mechs that people started using this season but still that matchup is heavily favoured for BBU control DK. With 2x Threads, 2x Corpse Explosion and 2x Soulstealer it is hard to kill DK unless you manage to get 20 attack Leroy

And that’s pretty easy to do most games. I can see where you’d do great against flood paladin, but you can’t build corpses as fast as I can put out giant minions in the mid game.

Again, I don’t doubt you’ve had success, but I just don’t see it.

Yes, I can and like I said, I did 100% of time last season. Between Mining Casualties, Crop Rotation and hero power you get enough corpses to keep you going. Besides you do not always need corpse explosion. Threads + Crop Rotation is usually enough in mid game. And flood paladin is almost non-existent in my pocket meta. I’d say maybe 10-20% are flood, most are Handbuff.

You really don’t unless your opponent isn’t trying to play around you. If they vomit their hand sure, but if you dole it out and eat removal you can otk turn 8 or nine no problem and you have the lifesteal to be at full health when that happens. IDK what blood crap you have.
