This class is broken, completely broken. So much to the point that I feel like not even bothering if I get matched against them. Whether it’s resurrections, combos or silence control decks there is literally no counter. On the rare occasion I even get the upper hand on the board they have just to execute Plague of Death - silencing and destroying all minions!
So, just to be clear, you have a tonne of non-legendary cards to resurrect your minions, whilst the closest that comes to that is Paladins Legendary spell Kangor’s Endless Army. You have a card that doubles and then equals attack and damage, no buff combo on ANY class comes close to that. You have a zero-cost silence spell. And finally, you have a non-legendary board wipe that completely removes anything including deathrattles - a card so broken that you can stack TWO and then you needn’t bother putting down any minions, because the opposite player has already ran out of cards! The closest that comes to that is Twisting Nether which pales in comparison when you consider it’s only ONE mana less.
I’m just sick and tired of this broken class, it’s the product of someone’s twisted Anduin fan-fiction. People have complained about it for the last year and nothing ever gets done.
And just to ask, what are you doing with the Warlock class? I mean apart from trying to bankrupt anyone that wants to try to play him. If you choose not to be an aggro player, then any half-decent card he has is branded as a legendary… ClapClap.
It’s just a joke, an absolute joke. Wake me up when you’ve actually done something about this. Ciao x
Except for the year rotation, which completely gutted the class. Sorry you only got four months of trash-tier Priests, but don’t worry, it’ll happen again next April!
I wouldn’t call them unbeatable in my ladder experiences but the only way to win against them is balls out aggro deck which is not how I normally like to play. I might be joining you soon since it gets tiring only playing one or two decks or just auto-losing to every quest/wall priest.
Hey, yeah perhaps not unbeatable. However in the rare cases that I manage to defeat one past rank 7, I question whether or not they’ve been distracted by the postman! And like you said, I too would get bored of being forced to play an aggro deck.
It just seems like they get the pick of the litter - they have some of the best individual destroy minion cards (only Rogue and Warrior compete), the best silence minion cards (only Shaman competes), the best buff cards (only Paladin, hunter and Druid compete), the best resurrect cards ( only Paladin competes), and the best AOE cards (only Warlock, Warrior and Shaman can compete). No other class has such broad access to all these counters on a similar scale - unfortunately the rest of us have to make room for 3 mana ironbeak owls! It just seems that the devs are insistent on making Priest a Jack of all Trades, and Master of All!

Wow that couldn’t have topdeck any better, but then again - that’s typically how those cards come off the top of the deck so just play as you get em.
Priests are the official sleazebags of Hearthstone. Always building up to some completely OP win condition where they can turn the board around in a single turn.
Priests are always the ones who end up with some 40/40 card on the board, that makes the opponent question why they even play Hearthstone.
But Priest is not a class you can just play against willy-nilly. Plague of Death still costs 9 mana and they’ll still be on the back foot afterwards. If you have 0 things left to play, then part of that result also lies on you: did you have to all-in or was it better to bait out the clear with less cards played?
Priest is fine. Playing 10-30 mana worth of cards for free /2mana is NOT. Some of their resurrect /summon DR cards has to be nerfed and that is all.
It will never happen as Blizzard makes a living of selling power and power creeping fotm style in every one of their titles. Their devs are in the middle age /Dad group of people who want to create games for their 5year old kids who can have fun /instant gratification and Win if they chose the actual OP fotm class even if they faceroll/afk.
Priest does seem completely broken in standard with that nil-cost divine spirit/inner fire combo bs. Quest priest in itself is powerful but they don’t even need that to win, they are not even using it.
