What’s with the popups on this website? I’m using my phone and via Google Chrome, there’s like 3 adverts. I understand they need money. However, they already have a subscription plan for customers.

Anyway, Kazakusan is taking over and shaping the meta. Shocking.

In a nutshell, they’re saying the meta looks diverse, but it looks that way because of Kaz Druid and all the aggro decks beating up on Kaz Druid.

As we progress, Kaz Druid will become more refined and the good builds are Tier 1 decks, but the bad builds and all the decks being made to purposefully target it are bringing it down.

And, because of the mass amount of aggro decks targeting Kaz Druid, anti-aggro decks or Control Warrior are popping up to feed off the decks feeding off Kaz Druid.

It’s exactly why they are calling this rock paper scissors.

-Kaz Druid
-Aggro decks targeting Kaz Druid
-Anti-aggro decks targeting decks targeting Kaz Druid.

That’s your meta. This is the picture perfect example of how 1 deck can warp a meta.

If you want to break the meta, come up with a deck that beats aggro and also can win consistently against Kaz Druid. Such a deck has not yet been found, but I’m not convinced it doesn’t exist.

Popups aren’t something I’m getting on my computer. Strange. Sometimes there’s viruses/spam ware that adds popups and spamware to sites. Might be worth running a virus scan.

Edit: Nevermind, I was using a phone as well and no ads showed up the first 5 minutes successfully, but then I got some in tab pop ups after the 5 min mark. Looks like it’s the site and waited a while on mine. )

Their phone version of the site is pop up heavy actually.

I think a agony warlock deck fits that bill. I think. I’m running into too many paladins to test this out personally but it seems to work ok vs most other things. Quest probably bad, tickatus is a maybe. Best build I have uses raise deads to get two copies of Tamsin and then shuffles 18 curses into the deck. You really don’t need anything but run out the clock after that. So you can run every other removal, including mag.

Despite what VS says, I got to legend with a modified Handlock deck that runs curse and altar of fire. Handlock is a decent deck still. But it’s not consistent enough to beat Ramp Druid. Druid can play Kaz long before you get your Tamsin combo.

If there was a consistent way to grab Tamsin, it would be a different story.

So right now I’m about 50/50 against Ramp Druid. You can win with early big minions or the curse combo, but it’s missing consistency to push the win rate higher.

Anyway other thing to get about the report is that the miniset overall is crap.

One card or two making impact not make the entire miniset good.

Actually it feels even worse because it feels like some weird test to How much crap they can get away with if they just make one card that actually hit as hard as a truck.

can we just first appreciate that priest got brutally murdered in it´s sleep and then burned and buried because it reached a laughable 20%playrate in top 1k only.

Druid is now at 30% everywhere.

As did mage. And when rogue started doing it, it took a bit longer to address, but it got hit hard as well.

I’m not sure the same will happen to Druid. I think they’re gonna let this ride out for 1-2 months.

To be fair during that time was actually good to play ping mage on high legend.

Around 65% winrate against maestra poison rogue

The punchline of every miniset being sw but with 1 card (smite, kazakus), is gonna get old.

We keep waiting for a mini set to change the meta, but it always just does that by adding one card to a already good deck nobody wanted to see.

Except past wasn’t.

This actually is.

What we have seeing play is.

Dragon cards, kazakusan and drakefire amulet.

Not even 10 cards.

Exactly. When mages or Priests take over they get nerfed to unplayable.
When its Druids Pallys or Shamans there is always some caveat or exception made for them. Pure bias and favortism.

Sw was pretty much pirate warrior + Smite and anyone reading the forums knows how old that got. Alterac is basically just the same meta as before, but with kazakusan and more trogg aggro decks, it feels a lot of more of the same to me.

No. You had the board cards , smite , some spells…

I can point atleast 20 actually good and played cards from the deadmines miniset.

Sure lets ignore the fact that Hunter got 2 insane cards and Rogue got 1, cards that catapulted decks up the ranks…

Also Warrior a Shield slam on a body better than Omega Devastator…

While mage got trash that isn’t playable in this meta.
Again…

Cool.

Now i actually get to 10. Thanks

Alright so taunt druid summons a 3/1 rush or a 1/3 taunt instead of a 2/1 peasant that needed to be removed and decks played 29/30 of the old cards or added 1-2 of the new cards where the decks played 95% like they did before, but one card was new, big woop.

I guess mileage may vary but to me it just felt like we played the same decks over and over again, ± 1 new card and handlock, handlock nerf, other deck nerfs, just in a giant merry go round where we kept recycling decks.

Thief/gurgle rogue and owl lock seem to feel like the only two new decks since sw to me and even owl lock was already a late game otk with anti aggro tools in a class with seedlock. Just saying we always expect some radical change to spice up the sets, but ever since sw, its power level is so absurd above the rest.

Even their nerfed versions return faster to high tier returnees than other cards see play.
