Throw in some discover more spells.

Seriously mages are an absolute joke atm. A long with VOLATILE SKELETONS they get armour as well? Come on.

True but to really get that deck to work you need high end card(s) and not many people have them (and thank god).

Wtf are you talking about.

What’s happening is casino mage is running that infinite card and discovering skeletons every turn cause blizz wants to keep putting infinite value cards in standard right after a rotation.

Dumbest strategy ever given to mages.
Minions with DR splash damage have nothing to do with mage, and never did.
And players: Please stop calling it: “burn” mage, when it isn’t.

Well but it’s a flavour of Kel’thuzad and he is indeed a mage and also necromancer.

That’s true tho. Spookymage isn’t a burn mage. The “main burn card” is icy touch and that’s it.

It’s crap that got created because Team 5 is out of ideas, and has too many classes now to give each a clear role.
DR minions have no business in mage.

‘Chill-on-on!’ Or whatever that is supposed to mean. :grinning:

PS Haven’t played Standard for years, but this is one of the dumbest quotes from the game.

Mage is in a bad spot.

I used to really enjoy the old tempo burn mage that would use classic Alexstrassa to snipe the health down to 15 then burn quickly next turn

I just ran mage to legend today, they are in a decent spot to me but by no means one of the top classes right now. I am liking the rommath decks, thoughbit is hard to beat control priest with it id say that is about 45 to 55 in favor of the prieat

I got it that you don’t like it, let us agree to disagree here.

So; am I the only one who thinks that a token deck dealing splash damage from DR’s is dumb in mage?
It isn’t burn, by any stretch of the imagination.
I played burn mage for years.
This has nothing in common with it, save that it finishes with face spells.

I suppose it depends on what you run. Vexallus with arcane bolts is 8 mana 18 damage (with 3 bolts obviously). Thats pretty burn mage

At the end of the game.
It is a control deck that damages from the board, and finishes with face spells.
Mage hasn’t had an actual fast face deck in years, and probably never will again.
Calling the deck burn mage is moving the goal posts to pretend that mage has an actual aggro deck again.
It doesn’t.

Burn does not mean aggro nor fast.

Burn means using spells to do damage, which it is, which is basic for magic ever since the time of “never go to 12 health against a mage”

Its Frost “burn” from the Infused Snowballs they lob at my face

That’s funny, I had more players than I can remember tell me that burn decks are always fast when I defended tempo/burn, and they said it wasn’t a burn deck, and they also, to a man, said I needed to learn a new style, and so I did.
I leaned face burn mage.
Now here we are, years later, and you want to change the definitions yet again.
You have a short memory, and a real addiction to changing the definitions to suit whatever argument you are trying to win.
So what description are We using now? Control/Burn?
'Cause that’s what the deck is. A control deck, that finishes with direct damage.

Mushroom Mushroom?

The funny part is you’re Jan and Marcia is paladin, dude.

Serioulsy, you sound like a little girl when you complain about this stuff. Mage has a good deck, but it’s not the right good deck so you cry.

Paladin, Paladin, PALADIN!
