Is anyone shocked by the results?
I am certainly not.

Not really, just a bit sad as meta was not that bad before the last nerfs.

Next time people learn to wait i guess.

It would not have stopped but would be slighty less worse.

three dead classes and one uber busted class.
Sounds like team5, alright.

Druid only rose because reno and unkilliax were nerfed. Don’t kid yourself. The reno warrior meta was no better.

Whack-a-mole company… hey have no clue what they are doing, UAT completely non-existent.

Sad thing is, even if they bring Reno back down to 8 mana, it still doesn’t help you much against druid when they can plop out 3+ doomkins and keep you at 5 mana or less fairly easily for a stretch of the game. I really hate that damn card. Wasn’t having one class being able to ramp to 10 mana so easily already enough of a perk without also giving them ways to prevent the opponent from getting mana? Blizzard always has to find a way to make druid busted it seems.

The Report didn’t even discuss how the early access to Marin is also highly Druid favored, they have the mana ramp to get to him first and run high cost cards (thanks to ramp) to maximize the draw 3 cost 0 abuse!

I actually think the only balance needed right now is bringing Guff back, what a stud!

I think sometimes you have to flush twice.

They really don’t have to mention that. It happens every time there’s a costly, high value and expensive neutral introduced to the game.

It’s the way they balance druid when it’s not competitive enough. There’s really no way they could ever hide behind the excuse “We didn’t think it would do that”.

Yep, these have almost always been best in druid, and is why blizzard basically needs to stop making expensive neutral minion win conditions, because druid will always be able to play them first.

does anyone else think they print game defining neutrals because it’s cheaper than designing full classes?

Or they could just get rid of ramp. I don’t understand why some class identities are ok to obliterate or be non-existent (Priest), while others (like druid) are catered to. Ramp is the reason why Druid has a tendency to become problematic in the middle of a cycle, it’s such a huge advantage, especially when the class also has ways of cheating on mana costs.

In the current meta not only playing him first but through Doomkin denying opponent even further on potential response.
These games are over turn 4/5 Druid also getting first minion 1 less mana anomalies now,
They play Marin and the treasure on same turn while opponent is on 4 mana, it’s LulCraft

Really this is about Marin. And I just wanted to say the card both sucks to play and to play against. It’s so incredibly high in variance, you can for example pull 2 innervates and a whelp with the wand and that’s a complete loss of a card, or you could hit your three biggest minions resulting in two turns.

There is something quite shocking. It’s DK never budging from the top of the leaderboard regarding play rate. It always makes me wonder what the appeal is, rain or shine.

My guess is there is easier access to their cards as well as the most recent new player/returning decks the plague was very popular.

or maybe people want to get to 500/1000 wins with the class?

Druid gonna Druid and use neutrals better than any other class because they can ramp to play neutrals several turns before you can.

See you next year when this happens again.

And the next year.

And the next year.

Like I said in another thread, Druid is the “this is why we can’t have nice things” class.

I’m willing to bet that more neutrals have been nerfed because of Druid than all other classes combined.

Did they not say they were going to go away from this and then just went right back to it?
