I got two coins and Wishing Well from Excavate rewards. Wishing Well gave me Helya and Gigafin. I had Velarok in hand when I played both and Velarok didn’t transform. Velarok later transformed from spells I got from Scorpion.

Same bug happened to me. He transforms on the 3rd spell you play while he is in your hand; even though there is no change to the card.
yeah i think the spaghetti code they use renerfed him back to what he used to be rather then fixing the issue where he wouldnt keep the buffs he gained while not transformed…typical blizzard rolling out updates without testing em first

Same, just played two quickdraw cards from different class with Velarok in hand and … nothing. Straight after the update. The testers really are useless.
