Uther’s ability can now summon several different Silver Hand Recruits, but it will contaminate the resurrected 2/2 minions, resulting in a maximum of four different 2/2 Silver Hand Recruits.
Seems like there is definitely a bug, as the ability will ALWAYS summon a different horseman than the ones already on the field, thus ending the game if you have the right hero power repeating cards on the field. Each horseman should be RANDOM unless the text says a “different horseman than the last,” which it does not.
It’s the intended behavior.
You will always summon a horseman you don’t already have on the board to prevent high RNG dependency
Also you revived a topic that was not about the Hero card
Your opinion doesn’t interest anyone. The card works as it should.
Thanks for the condescension. Very helpful.
Okay, but not sure why RNG dependency is avoided here and almost nowhere else. If the text said “not already on the board” it would clarify, but it doesn’t. Not sure why folks think that the text shouldn’t have to be correct.
Because RNG should not lead to a legendary card having 0 effect 90% of the time
If it was not protected against RNG, you would end up with a hero power that only summons 2/2s most of the time
When that card was in standard, there was a deck where people had to bounce the horsmene in their hand to avoid them being killed to play all of them on the same turn, because it was not possible no use the hero power enough times in a single turn. That deck was RNG dependant because you could summon a horseman that was already in your hand. That deck only required to summon 3 different ones since the 4th was guaranteed on the last turn, but that made the wincondition extremely inconsistent. That’s a glimpse of what the card would be with no protection on the 4 summons
Summoning 7 horsemen purely randomly on a single turn, you only have 25% chance to get all of them. To reach the odds of a coinflip you have to summon 10 of them, so you have to do it on multiple turns expecting that your opponent kept most of them alive. The card would be unplayable
Not what I said
Even if the design rule is that texts must remain short and that detailled rules are not explicited in the game, that specific one could be on the card, especially considering how short the current text is.
(also that thred was still not about the Uther hero card)
Sounds like we agree that the text should be improved. You again mention the thread, so I guess it’s really important to you to be right about that. Let’s agree that you are. Hope that makes you feel good.
why did you post about the uther dk hero power in a thread about silver hand recruits?
It’s not about being important it’s about being on topic
Would you find normal that I post a rant about Frost bolt in a topic about Ragnaros ?
