Upper hand triggers BEFORE Choral Mrrrglr

The spell “Upper hand” which reduces an enemy’s health to 1 triggers before the minion 6 tier “Choral Mrrrglr.” Therefore, it does not reduce his health to 1, as it should. It shouldn’t be completely negated and makes absolutely no sense. Fix this, what I hope to be, a bug.

Trinkets trigger before minions
It appears to be the rule

Fyi there’s a dedicated bug report forum

It isn’t a bug and it does reduce health first, but even if it did second, the aura effect would still override the setting the health to 1.

The interaction is about the minions in hand and you can’t “set it to one” unless you removed the minions from hand first.

Not sure what you mean here. What aura would override the setting to 1? The setting to 1 is the only aura in that context.

There’s nothing should here. It’s subjective. They decided it that way at game design and there’s no clear answer what should happen (it depends on the balancing between the tribes in whole (i.e. they could change it the way you want …and then they might buff them another way to balance it).

The minion’s stats are set to 1, but then it gets the stats in hand. The minion on the board’s stats aren’t relevant to the final count of the stats. It will never be one as long as it gets stats in hand because you don’t affect that number regardless of the order you apply them.

The minion can have one or 1000 heath, it will still ad the stats in hand to it.

I know: that’s the choice of the Developers: to first do the aura and then get the hand buffs (it’s subjective if it’s good or bad (it just is (that’s how they balanced the game)).

I was just confused with the wording, what you replied with I don’t disagree.

Nope. Working as intended.

The order doesn’t matter.

The “minion” can have 1 health and the change won’t erase the in hand hand stats.

It’s like when you use bramblewitch on undead… the minion gets 3/3 but still as the attack buffs stacked on top.

I meant it’s still a development choice to do it that way, they could have 1) buff from hand and THEN 2) nerf the final minion.

Obviously: if they did that: they would buff the boards/tribes to compensate for the massive loss or they’d nerf the spell.

Choral Mrrrglr is not an aura, it’s a start of combat effect
there’s no aura involved in this interaction it’s only a matter of orders and what goes first
