I am unable to unlock the wild cards. Can someone please tell me how it works. Thank you.
To unlock the wild game format, you have to:
- Be at least at rank 25; and
- Posess at least one wild card.
You can get a wild card at any time by investing real money - either by buying a pack from a wild expansion, or by buying and then playing one of the old adventures. These purchases can not be made in the in-game shop, but the shop in battle.net (or in the browser) does carry these items.
If you don’t want to spend money, then the only way to get a wild card is by crafting it, which can be done once you have reached rank 25. From the collection browser (NOT from a deck!!), go to Crafting mode, then hit the expansion button on the lower left of the screen and select either “All Cards”, or one of the wild sets. Then, craft at least one wild card.
Once you have unlocked wild mode, clicking on the hero portrait in deck building mode allows you to change a deck from a standard deck to a wild deck. And when you start a game, you can select standard or wild mode. When you select standard mode, you are only allowed to choose decks marked as standard. When you play in wild mode, all decks are permitted. (So yes, once wild is unlocked you can play there with your standard-mode decks).
Note that a deck that is marked as wild is never permitted in standard, even if it contains standard cards only.
