Their imbue is too much value in Arena.
Priest is insanely strong with empty hand it gets 2 for 2 good spells.
WHo is not happy playing against them in Arena.
Only if they last long enough to create that value. Rush them down.
DH is about even with priest ATM in Underground Arena. The DH card pool is very aggressive and uses many of the old rotated cards they had back when came into existence and were strong.
I think the problem is people try to out greed everyone instead of going the rush down approach and never letting them build up the greed. This is the problem with the control freaks they try to think the only way to win is by out controlling opponents instead of just punching face before the control snowball hits critical mass. First step to improve your win rate is stop being allergic to punching face. Fatigue is not the only way to win.
Probably because a large portion of players are sick to death of the game being tilted toward aggro. Arena in the beginning was a value game trading back and forth. If i want aggro i’ll just go play constructed where that is the entire game. Hoping this didn’t carry over into Arena would have been nice but it’s a mobile game first and keeping games under 5 minutes is important.
Winning before fatigue doesn’t always mean aggro. Also the game was always tiltled toward aggro because the turn structure of you can only do stuff on your turn leans toward tempo and having tempo leads to having stuff on board with nowhere to go but face or else you are doing nothing. Having the lead and doing nothing leads to your opponent finding a way to steal the game.
The problem with rushing them down isl you need to draft a good deck for that.
You don’t need a full on aggro deck to find opportunity to push face. Part of the skill is knowing when to risk pushing face instead of trading away all of your power on board Against something like Imbue Priest where you can’t just out fatigue them pushing face may be the only way that game is winnable or you can give up and just slowly play into their fatigue you out plan and lose.
I just mean you need to be able to draft good tempo cards for that. Vanilla stats on curve ain’t gonna cut it.
and if you are already losing on board to Imbue Priest before they start Imbue chaining you would have lost if they never had Imbue.
I’m not losing to imbue priest. I’m just saying that getting good drafts is so important. So saying rush them down is not always helpful. Again noobs Don’t understand tempo so maybe it’s a good advice.
Even better will be spend your mana. Don’t float your mans just to wait for some combo or something. Spend your mana get stuff on board.
Once Shaman starts to upgrade their minions. It’s just a god tier hero power you can never overcome.
You couldn’t possibly be more clueless

You can’t draft imbue for priests now. Patched.
But the old runs still works. You can wait a while to let it pass.
I see this frequently, and not just in arena, where people will trade when they should have gone face.
Even when playing control decks, it is important to understand the board state relative to health and power to know when to trade. Too often I see control players trade when they should be chipping away at face damage.
I feel like that’s the designers fault. They have given control players for years easy spell based tools to keep the board and funneled them to win through combos or single card effects. After this current rotation Warrior was left with no early game removal spells or even removal spells in general until turn 5 at the earliest. DK was also left in a similar situation but there’s was one of figuring out how to close games more.
In order to combat aggressive decks control needs to have minions from the beginning of the game so you can trade or press dmg against other control decks. The starships were basically the only things available to warrior in particular to combat early aggression. For DK’s they found their means to close games with Starships. The newer player base is not accustomed to this style of play and doesn’t really understand it.
Control Warrior/DK is very much a mid range deck now that will get highly aggressive when the opening shows itself because of all the minions run in deck. It appears this play style has gone over to Arena as well now with control players thinking they can outlast opponents in a game mode that values value. They really need to just look at their control tools as a way to mitigate incoming damage to force the aggressive decks to start trading.
