If Undatakah grabs Zereks deathrattle, casting a spell on Undatakah does nothing.
This is different from Cube because Cubes deathrattle reads differently.
Why does this combo not work?
So to make sure I understand exactly what happened - you played Undatakah and in the animiation saw that it got a deathrattle from Zerek. You then after that cast spells on Undatakah, and then when it died it was not resummoned?
What other deathrattles did the Undatakah get? Which spell(s) did you cast on it? Did it summon nothing, or did it (erroneously) summon Zerek instead of Undatakah? What other minions were on the board - is it possible that the board was full when Undatakah tried to resummon itself?

Undatakah only gains zerek. Cast spells on undatakah let it die and it summons nothing.
I cast seance, power word shield, and tons of other spells. Nothing works
Board is not full. I eliminated everything and every test is the same result. Undatakah, even with a buff saying he is storing a zerek does nothing

FYI - Undatakah Zerek now resummons…Undatakahs instead of how it used to work (resummoned Zerek)
So I guess it’s fixed? The old way was probably not intended.
Oddly enough, the enchantment that shows up in Undatakah’s banner once given a spell specifically says “Prepared to summon Zerek, Master Cloner.” Seems strange that it specifically mentions him by name, as though it was written with the old behavior in mind. Something that’s still worth looking into - it should probably phrased non-specifically, like “Prepared to resummon this minion.”
He also didn’t get the visual effects from Zerek when he gained the enchantment.
