Obviously that ruined the game pretty quickly.

It might help if you gave a little more detail.
What happened when you tried to sell them?
Were you unable to pick them up and drag them to Bob?
Were you able to drag them to Bob, but that did not trigger the usual sell action?
Did you get an error message?
similiar issue here, I dragged them to bob and it would not sell them, just rubber band them back to their spot on the board.

Same issue. Occurs quite often (approx. 1 time per 3 games), only during high APM turns.
When you drag a minion to the Tavern side and release LMB, that minion freezes in non-interactible state in that position while being at your board, effectively removing one slot until next round.
