Two player mode

Hi folks,

I would really like to discuss how social hearthstone is. Wouldn´t it be great to have a multiplayer mode like 2 vs 2 in constructed? Of course there is a lot work and adjustment needed, but most players are used to it and love new modes. I would definitively love it to play together with my friends. As well I would like to see an in game chat, sure you can silence it, but maybe some players would enjoy it too?

Let us make HS more social!^^ Especially in times where social distancing makes meeting friends difficult!

as much as I would love to see 2v2 plays. you gotta ask these questions

  • Is it gonna be premade or pug ?
    how can they work around pug vs premade.
  • would chatting be allowed ?
  • what the time length of the average match ?
  • would all cards be allowed ?
  • would it have cards specifically made for that mode ?
  • how many boards ? the ususal 7 vs 7 slots or is it 14 vs 14?
  • how much HP would they have ? is it shared or not ?

You are totally right. I do not expect them to do it right away. Every singel question is on its place. I guess it would be the easiest to have a shared board with 7/7 and one combined char. A game would last longer since every player has to do actions. But all these questions can be solved. It would give hs a more social point and I think that is great enough to ask for it.

A four-player best-of-three might be nice. Each player takes on one of the opponents. If one team sweeps, game over. If it goes 1-1, then each team picks a player for a third game. I guess you could do this with three friends already, but having ranked pairs could be fun.

Yes indeed let us make them think about it :wink: I am already doing little tournaments with friends, if blizz would arrange a new mode like you say it could be tested in tavern brawl. First there needs to be the will to change and to test.

I would go further to share even more and make it more cooperative. So you should communicate with your team mate and discuss tactics or at least see each others hand cards to know how to interact. To give a new aspect to the game.

We already have a two player mode: it’s you and your RNG vs your opponent and their RNG.
