Twist this month

I’m actually enjoying playing it, but it gets a bit stale because people tend to play the same options.

Some of the decks are pretty challenged, though. Some are braindead simple. That wouldn’t be an issue if you didn’t get to spam your favorite.

Would it be better if it was like BG where you got offered choices and you had to play one of two, three, or four choices each game?

You couldn’t just spam the best list or two that way.

I enjoyed it last month and got to like D4 and then I just had to stop. The decks were just so broken and not fun anymore with everyone playing Arfus, etc. You know the balance was bad when Arfus was at 15 health and Cthun was at 80. It was THAT bad.

I know they fixed it a bit, but everyone saying Marin turns are just consistently full rope turns I can’t handle sitting through that day in and day out.

There’s too many polarizing matchups in Twist right now. There’s a handful of decks that are hammers and everything else they face is a nail.

Marin is really good but there’s 1 or 2 decks that can beat it. Unfortunately those decks also beat pretty much everything else. So Marin is basically broken against 80% of the decks.

I must be doing it wrong.

I got it to go off a couple times (got the play 12 cards on a turn rogue achieve) for a 30/30 Edwin, but all my opponents were playing a spell deck that was faster than me so it was pretty hit or miss.

I even changed deck and still an endless stream of Kael’thas and I’m already over the mode.

The point is that everyone plays the same things and having to play one at random would really up the skill expression and break up the monotony.

A system like battlegrounds hero selection would go a long way to fixing this issue.

I’m annoyed he isn’t in his own deck. Seems like perfect synergy.

Games go longer than Reno Brann vs Reno Priest. That’s why I don’t bother (that and Marin roping every turn after 2 mana).

How? It’s just not that consistent. There are pop off turns, but it takes more than two mana to set it up.

I think he sucks, so I’m not sure what the hype is.

Twist is incredibly boring IMO. Same 1-2 decks face same 1-2 decks, winner just has better RNG >.>

Actually come to think of it, this is just Standard in a microcosm! Blizzards RNG agenda pushed to 11.

I don’t know how myself since I stopped playing before Marin, but all my friends who play say Marin is almost always doing full rope turns every game and they are annoyed by it.

I don’t know how much exaggeration is in there, but from what I read on forums and from friends, it seems to be frequent enough that it’s causing complaints.

Last month with Arfus being beyond broken it was so annoying having to play around the seemingly infinite excavate rewards and Reska. It wouldn’t surprise me if Marin is doing similar broken things. The devs don’t know how to build balanced decks.

Not uncommon at all. Once you have activated the hero power about 4 times you can draw most of the deck based on what is in there. When you hit the Druid legendary you essentially add a bunch of 1 cost legendarys that have draw a card added to them as an effect for 1 cost.

They will eventually start making full boards turn after turn until you lose or they run out of threats.

I just lost to Zirella, who with one single discover from Amantul found a paladins legendary dragon that heals all HP for two heroes. Before that I led the entire game. Fun and interactive

The most fun deck I found is Queen Azshara since she is consistent and always has options, that doesn’t stop me from conceding every time I face a Marin because no matter how much I’m confident in my skill I don’t like waiting the entire turn for their combos every time just to make my own combo, guess Azshara is a little guilty, but at least it can usually be quick compared to Marin draw

Oh, you can do that, but not until you build up some mana and some coins in you deck, which takes more than two turns.

Many of the top decks go off before you can get started with the rope turns is my experience.

Right, and it takes four or five turns to get to this point, and you might be at single digit health by then.

I’ve had similar happen. 8/8 lifesteal reborn taunt minion basically wins the game. It was crazy that she could heal to full before Marin could get started popping off.

I played a bunch of Marin until I hit a point where it would not win a single game and I have to play a different character. I lost seven games in a row badly, so I don’t know what changed.

I don’t know enough about the mode to understand what is meta right now.

Is anyone legend in the mode or have advice on what is working right now?

What is the top deck in the format right now?
