So i have no inclination to actually engage with twist as its design sensibility aint my ccg jam (tight, solved metas), although i absolutely see its appeal to other types of players and as a business model. Folks who want a nostalgic slice of history, with a twist, are happy and Blizzard gets an extra revenue stream by selling already produced cards (so no dev time/cost) to folks who werent around for it.
But, when i organically got within 50 shards or points or w/e of 700 in that reward track i figured id throw a core deck together and lose twice. Problem is… i cant make a deck. It filters by “twist” when you click through the “make a deck” button, great, but when i click on “new deck” to actually make it that filter is gone now. I had hoped the core stuff was legal but no dice, tried searching for basic twist decks and it was all budget (i did just now find a “free” hunter one, ill check in a bit). So… am i stupid? Is there a toggle somewhere to filter by twist legal cards when youre actively making a deck? Im assuming this is either a PEBCAK thing or someone just forgot to implement it.
You should be able to click on the deck in the collection manager and then click “Convert to Twist” and the collection should the filter for Twist.
I don’t think Core cards are eligible in Twist

Ah, gotcha. So i have to start with a random deck, convert to twist, and then change out cards from there. Thanks.

When you make a new deck, the game automatically defaults to whatever mode you are currently set to in the screen where you cue up for a game, not whatever filter you currently have set in the Collection Manager.
Once you start to make a deck, though, you can choose which mode you want on the screen where you choose which class you want to make a deck for. Just click on the mode icon in the upper right above where the hero portrait appears.
Or you can do what Skizzy suggested and convert your new deck to a Twist deck after you get to the point where you’re adding cards.
Да новый твист - отвратителен, там “раскопали” такую древность, что даже те кто не делает распыливание карты и играет в вольный режим благим матом отзовется… Лирой, нефритовые големы 1/1 пираты не фейс и не контроль, забытые архетипы дек. Кому это нужно? Вольники еще могут поиграть и то не каждый, а мне делать деку, чтоб месяц поиграть и “мертвый груз” держать у себя этот?
