Topior druid, free clears rest of game

I honestly am sick of this card right now more than any other, once a druid plays it there is almost nothing you can do to get a board to stick the rest of the game.

Yep, and it only helps Sire Denathrius more, as if druids need help. But if you read the comments in this forum, druid is just such a hard deck to play, and struggles in matchups

Topior is and addition to druid in order for him to clean board more efficacely but this card is way too far broken as it allow you to spam 3/3 indefinitely in the game which in fact by now counter decks based on aoes clears as they never got enough board cleans to destroy everytime the 3/3’s .

must be a different topior the one ive seen can only summon 3/3 but only when i cast nature spells and they dont nuke boards

It’s insane board clear and value, why do you defend the current game state at every chance?

Funny how it isnt even the most problematic deck or highest winrate… god this game has been cranked to 11

I mean not that I disagree Druid isn’t strong right now, but “indefinitely” is obviously an exaggeration. They can get a 3/3 for every nature spell cast. Even with discovers and extra copies, they can’t do it probably more than 10 times…

Then you have the option to play a deck that does not need to stand on the board, like quest priest or curselock. Topior is insane when:

  1. It is played early
  2. The druid playing it still has many nature spells left unplayed
  3. Denathrius is in the druid’s hand when the welps are sent to their demise.

There are times when Topior sinks to the bottom. Or when the nature spell package has already been depleted. Or Denathrius sunk deep and never got infused. So yeah, I’d agree that this card is a pretty high roll card when the stars align. Kinda like how highlander priest in wild has Raza. Either it is played on turn 5 with a high-roll or it never sees the light of the day.

EAsy unbalance from blizzard

In a vacuum the card isn’t that strong, but druids have so many ways of discovering more cheap nature spells or generating copies of the ones in their deck that it is nigh-broken. You add the whelps on top of that and the ability to get to 20 mana and most control decks don’t stand a chance(except a mirror match). I think the other half of the problem is all the cheap dredge and tutoring effects that druids have. As a whole, it’s just a disgusting package.

Should either not have rush, or should be 1/1s or maybe 2/1s. I know they want to make ramp druid more of a deck that can contest the board, but like to me the whole point of ramp druid is to get ahead of your opponent to play bigger things on the board.

Rather than having powerful means of dealing with board states or hitting your opponent in the face.

Druid’s just… a frustrating class in terms of design still.

Once druid plays guff/topior you should accept the game is probably over. That’s really just how it goes
