Too much Draw in the game

Was speaking to a friend, and this occurred to me.
I can only speak for Wild, but I am really tired of cards that allow players to cycle through their entire decks for their win condition.
For me, draw is the #1 reason this game has turned to crap.
When you are guaranteed to draw your win condition, then there is no
strategy or chance to the game at all. Inevitability is not fun.

Players asked for it for many many years and design responded.

The problem with playing with less draw is that it reduces the competitive deckbuilding scope drastically.

While it’s true that a decent part of the powercreep is there. It’s also true that is one who gave variety to the game.

For example:
During the mid years of hearthstone decks with similar dust cost where common because it was unviable to design decks to play around 1 legendary card.

Therefore legendaries where just good all round cards most of the time.

So you had that meta full of 15/20 K dust decks making hearthstone so expensive that nowadays price was a joke.

Increasing the draw was a good to make all different types of decks cheaper to craft basically.
Giving birth on an hearthstone era where deck prices stabilized and competitive variety skyrocketed with the cost of powercreep.

I don’t know if what you claim is true.
But having every deck be able to draw their win condition every single game with one or two cards is dumb to me.

Most players have no idea what is good for the health of the game.

I don’t think it’s simply too much draw, but a surplus of resources in general. If you can’t draw a ton of cards, you can generate a ton of cards. There’s no reason to be careful with your resources because there’s plenty more.

I imagine that’s true.
I think they should just rename all of the stupid draw cards to:
“draw your win condition now”

Some of the best decks in hearthstone history have been dirt cheap. Pirate warrior, undertaker hunter, overload shaman, secret mage, pretty well any top tier aggro deck, was dirt cheap to acquire back in the day.

I get PO’d over the fact that we used to have: “draw two for three.”
and that was pretty good.
Now We have: “replace your hand with the bottom of your deck”
or secret passage, or volume up, etc.
The game has grown stupid because of the sheer amount of draw.

Sure.

And those decks always pop here and there.

The problem is:
People get tired of playing the same deck over and over.

So while it’s okay to ocasionally have some decks who cost ridiculous amounts of dust.
It’s not okay to have the median/average to go too high.

Basically it does not matter if a alternative exists. Most decks have to be acessible.
It’s not about power. It’s about acessibility to blizzard’s products.

Like how the mecha thun meme deck makes it to draw the entire deck in 2 turns.

fun isnt stupid!!!

finley is the best battlepass legendary we ever had isnt broken and its extremely useful !

I don’t think being guaranteed to draw your win condition in almost every game is fun.
It’s repetitive and senseless.
I prefer games that give a chance, but not a certainty.
