Of the 36 decks that are tracking right now on HSREPLAY, Token Druid only has 2 unfavorable matches and those are Zoo lock and Mech Paladin, one of which sees little to no play and the other is a very low Tier 2 deck.
yeah im currently abusing this deck and managed to climb from the middle of rank 8 to the middle of rank 4 in a day. The deck is just too strong. So much board stick that your oponent needs multiple board clears to handle it and they don’t even have the mana to play any minions.
The deck sucks. I know it supposedly has a high win rate but I played some games with it to see if it was good. Kept basically being dead lost to perfect opening hands from opponents, already lost on turn 3. (Tempo rogue, zoo, hand mage).
I don’t see how any deck that can be dead lost against its best matchups on turn 3 can be called OP, let alone “tier S”.
My perspective after playing it is token druid is straight trash that only wins against overly greedy control occasionally at best It automatically loses to bad draws, board clears, going second, tempo removal, tempo cheat, and running out of resources.
Moreso, the deck is boring. Draw RNG dictates the outcome 100% from the druid POV and there’s no decisions you make. On average it performs worse than a homebrew dragon paladin ft. eccentric scribe (that’s how bad it is).
IMO the only tier S decks are Control Warrior, Tempo Rogue, and Hand Mage, all of which are practically unbeatable by mere mortals.
I’ve been playing around with the #1 deck on HSReplay. Draw RNG is important but frankly it just takes a lot of skill to use the deck properly. I don’t think it’ll ever be that popular just because it’s too hard for most people to use effectively.
Lol!
Not even 2 days ago we were supposed to “be afraid of our new bomb warrior overlords”
Y’all silly
This is exactly why I don’t generally take anything posted on these forums seriously. People tend to have irrational, unfounded, knee-jerk reactions to everything.
I just said it’s approaching. The meta is shifting. There’s nothing wrong with that statement and putting out facts
I’m not disputing your cited statistics or anything, and my comment wasn’t meant for you. It was an agreement with the sentiment that most people on these forums constantly overreact and cry for nerfs when we’re less than one week into the new expansion, because they think any deck that can beat them is “OP.”
Understood. If anything, this is more of a plea for more people to play Mech Pally lol
at least TC isnt one of those ranting about nerfing stuff or claiming x deck has over 90% win rate this soon
is sad
but topic like this one are a rare find in this forums
couldnt agree more. i only needed 1600 dust out of my 20k to make it so i did…and it does suck. or i suck which is entirely possible or maybe me and the deck sucks. it isnt fun and without perfect draw the first few turns, youre doomed.
but it does easily do my dailies for me and thats all i intend to do this xpack. save my dust and gold for later in the year.
which is what my hunter deck did for me last season, thinking “oh im gonna spend all this on the new year!”
needless to say, i was unimpressed and now im playing with the same “maybe next time” attitude i just went through.
i was gonna make bomb warrior but blizz always makes one deck stupidly powerful, everyone crafts it and they nerf it into uselessness after about 6-7 weeks. charge warrior, shudderwock, quest rogue, etc.
To be fair, my comment was also more directed in the vein of
“See? Everyday something else is suddenly topping the charts! Almost like it’s an early meta and the refinement race is on.”
And less
“Schyla is a whiny face dumbhead”
You’re clearly our whiny face dumbhead
Token is as good as it has always been. that being that if they draw into or start with the nuts they have a high percentage chance of closing the game before you can do anything. However when they don;t draw it they are mercifully pummeled into the ground by aggro easily. It’s an old tried and true deck that will eventually drop as the meta shifts and settles.
Control shaman can beat it more often than not.
HRSREPLAY is showing a 58% win rate against control shaman over 4,200 games. Unless there are multiple versions of control shaman that are better…or that players playing control shaman are playing the deck badly, either of which could be true.
You and I have VERY different viewpoint. I’ve been playing Token Druid since I opened cards as it was the best deck it look like I had on paper. While my version isn’t on HSR it is basically the same.
Yes, the deck can draw itself dead, but it is also the most resilient aggressive deck to board clears because, simply put, you can chew through a lot of AoE with your ability to amass tokens regularly, every decent board become a threat after turn 8 so the opponent has to play insanely cautiously, and Soul of the Forest allows you to stick boards well.
I’ve thought Token Druid was the best deck since day 1 and I’ll definitely stick to that.
Mage I think is a tier 2ish deck having faced it a bunch now, Control Warrior low tier-1 to tier-2, and Tempo Rogue tier 1 =)
Control Shaman feels close to a toss-up to me having played both of the decks. I’ve put in 2x Storm Chaser now so I can reliably fetch Scheme early in the match. It is a VERY cat and mouse game between the two decks that Hagatha can easily break the Shaman’s favor. 58% WR sounds too high to me for the Shaman personally.
Had to look at the Control Shaman lists on HSReplay, not running Pyromancer is their fatal error lol. Its like no one has realized the potential of Witches Brew, Kragwa and Pyro in that deck.
Refinement!
Its what’s leading me to try spellbreaker in place of the spell silence in silence priest.
Same overall use, same overall turn played, extra body.
(Predicated on the ideal you often dont use silence until the minion is actually on a turn it could attack)
i played this deck for about 10 games… and in like 7 of them i drew all buff spells and no token generators. or i drew them against a mage loaded with secrets and counter spells and board clears.
Meanwhile my opponent just magnetized a few sturdy mechs, high rolled a turn 5 8/8 van cleff, or dire frenzied the Tundra Rhino i had no answer for and crushed my face in.
legend players just mulligan into the stone cold nuts every game.
I hate Druid & people who play Druid, god awful bandwagon jumping trash players who need a tier S deck to make it past rank 12.
Why won’t this class just go away and stop polluting the ladder with its cancer.
