Is this in standard? Hunter just destroys Druid. Easy choice.

Yes, it is ofc a standard deck. But i guess many people would be scared to know what it really is :^)

I mean, yeah it beats Drum Druid, but it’s a $150 deck that loses to everything else in the meta including all the other druid decks.

Just play hunter. Cool deck though. Priest just needs a win condition.

When people discuss druid they aren’t discussing Drum druid tho. The druid deck that is causing all the trouble is Tony Jailer Druid. Hunter is actually unfavored against it in higher ranks.

Well, if you have the cards for it is definitely good against combo decks like druid, mage, shaman, warrior for all the disruption it runs, and at the same time does well against aggro. Not sure about the data but i think it’s a good underdog metabreaker in the right hands (and wallets) :stuck_out_tongue:

Diamond to Legend data shows all 3 Hunter decks smashing Tony Druid in standard. Even Hound Hunter has a 50.5%WR against it.

It also loses to mech rogue and Pure and Silver Hand Paladin.

To be fair it does best Control Warrior AND Enrage Warrior, Priest and all 3 Warlock decks.

Looks like you just need minions on the board to beat it.

I’m referring to the top druid deck ofc, aka tony druid, but it does well against drum druid too.

Tony isn’t anywhere near the power level of Drum. Drum is a T1 deck.

Tony is just annoying.

In top legend tony druid is more problematic, and that’s for sure.

That’s because it beats Enrage Warrior comfortably which has been the go to top 1000 legend deck.

I don’t look at top 1000 for data because it’s a tiny pocket meta sample size that affects almost no one.

HSReplay data is unreliable right now. The patch is very fresh out of the oven and there are few games recorded with some decks and with multiple variants of a same deck. Tony is more dominant the higher up you move in ladder. In top legend, its worst matchup is Mech rogue with a meagre 50% WR. Not only that, it is absolutely everywhere.

Edit: Arguably, the deck has a fairly high skill ceiling so it probably won’t dominate the entire ladder anytime soon. Hunter is probably more than fine to reach legend, but will be in trouble the higher you get.

It’s still valid data and the best we have.

Top 1000 Legend data is irrelevant, always has been and always will be. It’s not representative of 99.999% of the player base.

Agreed, but my point is that it is a deck with a high skill ceiling. If you know how to play it it is the best deck in the game by a long shot right now. The data at lower ranks will be misleading because people may be trying it out and doing badly with it.

Top legend data is the only one that matters. It shows the true game and what it is intended to be, everything else is unreliable “garbage”.

This is completely incorrect. It’s a tiny pocket meta with the most skilled players in the game that evolves as soon as it settles with everyone trying to counter the most efficient deck constantly.

That maybe is true for top 30, but top 1000-1500 is the real hs game.

I agree that it’s the best way to play the game, just not that the data matters to the vast majority of the playerbase

top 1000 is not that hard.
legend used to be top 0.5% in 2014-2019, top 0.3% in 2019-2020
2020-today 4% of player base make it into legend
top 1000 legend is about top 0.4~0.2%
