anyone else get it off the store? the wife had not gotten it before and now it’s back up and we both got it! we were looking at the portraits the other day on the hearthstone wiki and it’s one of the ones we both had said we wish they’d rerelease. that’s one thing i really like about hearthstone as a new player (though i realize time limited things coming back later makes some older players annoyed)

Meh I bought it on release and don’t care. Only ones that would irk me are the 80 dollar ones. Those should be exclusive.

i got it. i have and like vashj, so not sure i’m even going to use him, but i like having the options. i don’t really think any of them should remain exclusive.

It’s worth noting that you can buy this portrait with gold.
I have several of the big preorder exclusive portraits, I lose nothing if others are able to purchase the ones I have.

It’s blizzard that forced that entitlement on people by not offering skins separately as a business strategy
So after people paid a big amount money potentially only because of the skins since you couldn’t get they other way they go there and offer for gold?
It’s not being in fact prejudiced.
It’s about blizzard slapping your face by telling that the thing you got "because you’re a special customer that spend a big amount of money " is now free.
I personally would not make a tantrum on forums but I would never buy a single product again if they let people get mecha jarraxus skin with gold.
If they wanna make the skins return atleast make those people pay as much a I spend .

i bought the lesser expensive pre-order of the last expansion BECAUSE i hate nzoth. the most recent, and future ones, i’ll buy the big one cuz it’s the best deal and i will need 95769846945 packs anyway and it’s just cheaper and frees my gold to buy older packs i need stuff from to pay wild. i realize why he was the portrait but i didn’t want it as my “other” warlock hero option and i hate him and would rather have had something like wilfred fizzlebang or something instead. (best warlock ever. no one else summoned an eradar lord at all before him, or even after until the legion campaign warlock quests)
It’s weird that we didn’t get an announcement about Thunder King being back and maybe why they’re doing it. I guess I’ll be saving gold for Sylvanas, who is supposedly also returning at some time in some way after the most recent patch.

People aren’t going to buy $60 Hero and card back. If you want them to spend the same as you, they need to offer the 50 Boomsday Packs and random Legendary as well (or whatever the bundle was at the time).
Hero’s by themselves and card back have always been $10.

hs is becoming like hots, everything we bought with € is/will be available with golds then the game will die because they got no more incomes lol
Alternatively we just subtract the cost of 60/80 packs from the preorder (depending on each specific bundle) to find the value of the portrait + card back.
A hint: The preorders give more packs/$ than normal bundles even if we exclude the bonus legendary, portrait and card back.

I think Blizzard should have a poll on which hero portrait we would like to see to release next. I mean you get our money if you release what we want.
Or they could release all and let people decide which one they want to buy. Ain’t happening though cause it doesn’t trigger FOMO. Got the Thunder-King with gold, to answer the OP as well.

A lot of people spent a lot more money than they originally wanted to because of the exclusive skin.
You had to pay the big price for them.
And as it stands the best skins are the preorder exclusive ones. If they release more skins based on meaningful achievements rather than the worthless 1k ones I wouldn’t mind as much.
was sylvanas an $80 exlclusive bundle skin? that’s the one i want the most. and i wasn’t around to get it. to ME that is the best one. and i would have paid whatever to get it.

And even then, you still got all the packs + bonus Legendary (+ Arena Tickets/Tavern Pass for newer bundles) for a super discounted price compared to both normal and the smaller bundles.
The portraits did not cost $80 or even $1 compared to what is overall in those bundles.
