I may be weird, but am I the only one who thought Anduin’s final encounter was one of the better fights so far just due to the overpowered feeling of the fight? Sure, it isn’t hard, but I found it a little enjoyable to play. Still I do agree, the Book of Heroes needs to improve (see Book of Mercenaries, that one’s already drastically better with only 1 story even if each character is in a shorter time frame).
The better versions of pieces of the hero stories are in other games. Thrall and Grom against Mannoroth was a good cinematic in Warcraft 3. Almost any part of World of Warcraft looks better than its counterpart in Book of Heroes, probably. Gul’dan may get a better story than in the past, since his past was in Warcraft 1 and 2.
The Warcraft movie was pretty neat - good representation of Gul’dan.
Just that Hearthstone does an awful job of trying to make these “serious” Warcraft stories. It comes off as satire practically.
I would prefer they just literally make it a spoof, and potentially humorous.
