Most of the time I’m almost screaming “WTF why is this even possible!!!”
These games are infuriating! Why is it even possible to have plagues ruin “play the next spell that you draw.”???!?!?!!? Why would you create a card that is made useless by a card mechanic that has been in the game for a year?!?! Nothing makes sense!!!

Why is it even possible to have boom boss in the game, never mind with a double battle cry?!?!?!
Why is it even possible to have a zero mana Sylvanas with rush in the form of Reska?!?!?! And you can spread the effect to other minions thanks to “death growl”?!?!?

Why is paladin on top of the meta all the time? Put them on the bottom for once and keep them there for a whole year.

NOTHING I DO MATTERS!!!
I can’t target any deck, I can’t ban any deck or class. I’m forced into meta garbage and punished for innovation.

Then you may need to get better at the game, idk. Seems like the same players keep climbing the ladders, so they must be doing something you aren’t, but idk.

If i was in your position of losing with whatever deck i’m currently running, i’d instead look into using a better deck if i wanted to get in some dubs.

I haven’t enjoyed it either. I think I’ve played two games so far this month, and I don’t plan on playing anymore for quite a while.

Not mean to bash but correct me if I am wrong, ever since the inception of the game every season and expansion people have been saying that the meta is terrible / awful and such.

If so when (if any at all) is the window when the meta is decent and there are no objections at all?

Yep.

Because if you let other people have sole agency over what they play as, then you’ll always have disagreements with their decisions. Freedom and orthodoxy are mutually exclusive.

Wow… a competitive ladder game would have a meta? Who knew?

I thought you could just pick any 30 cards you like and the algo would just throw you wins every other game…

The funny thing is every single player in the top 100 would take any deck the op picked farther than the op can.

I didn’t want to burst their bubble… wouldn’t want to be toxic, lol.

I could switch and play paladin, but that doesn’t make be good at the game, nor would that be fun to be stuck playing what I don’t want to play.

No, you’re still not good at the game, correct.

But you might win some games and learn faster if you have a chance to win if you played it right.

That is reasonable to ask, and I’ll admit that I don’t like the meta more than 50% of the time. But there are clear outliers like United in SW and now this. Elementals everywhere, or agro or unkillable zilliax.

I mean, I’ve skated on stuff I probably shouldn’t have in the past, so idk how upset I should be.

I started playing Nostalgia shaman with Sir Finley so I can prey upon the bountiful warriors and druids…

Then only get matched vs DK…

Go figure.

Because Hearthstone is all about Scripted Outcome.

On top of what you said, there is also the “necessary” scripted outcome added by Blizzard, where if the system “thinks” you deserve to lose, then no matter what you do, you will lose that match 110%. How many times have you encountered an opponent with PERFECT draw, combo, etc where even with big mistakes, he will win, while your drawn cards were like “wtf is this? where is my deck?”.

Yup! That’s scripted outcome.

This is…like they love to say, to keep the winrate at about 50%. :man_facepalming:

You wont climb with paladin its not that good. Anyone half decent at this game knows how to counter.
