Yep. It’s so powerful. It’s a wonder anyone can beat it.
Thankfully they are gonna’ kill it and put mages back in their place.
They were getting way too good.

That’s not exactly the deck that’s getting nerfed supposedly. It’s the wild mage deck. This deck just so happens to also be running Incanter’s Flow.
And it should be noted that the deck you’re talking about actually has a positive win rate against that druid deck.
Yeah… Well, it’s good thing they are killing it.
Mages were getting way too big for their britches.
Now We can all go back to losing to minion classes like We are supposed to.
Could be possible a mage buff is coming as well. I’m hoping wild fire goes to 1 mana. That would be HUGE.
Well, if it does and it lands at tier three or higher it will be complained about until it is killed too, trust.
And if it’s tier four then we will have three archetypes that are all tier four.
That’s probably all Mage deserves though.
Gotta keep em’ where they belong.
I think wild fire to 1 mana would land Mage easily in Tier 2 pushing Tier 1. 1 mana opens up a lot since wandmaker can hit it.
Well, looking forward to it since it will be the only playable mage deck after tomorrow.
I don’t think you’ve started enough threads about these not even confirmed yet nerfs. Start a few more please.
Also, that Mage deck is 13% of the meta across all ranks. THE most popular deck in the game. It warps the meta, which is justification enough for a nerf (not that I necessarily agree, but thats another matter). If you’re running into enough of them, which an awful lot of people are, it reduces your deck choices massively. That’s not a healthy place to be , meta wise. The RNG bs clown fiesta is the turdy icing on this particularly crappy cake.
In before ‘why not nerf Warlock then, that’s also polarising and unfun?’. A. Mage is way better than Warlock. B. Warlock playrates have dropped like a stone.
What kind of silly deck is this? Are you playing standard?
WTH were you thinking on turn 4?!?
AI + Lab Partner > Fireball to face.
I don’t understand why you are stressing so hard over these nerfs.
They’re nerfing Paladin. That’s one of the two worst classes for Mage to face.
They’re also nerfing Crabrider and possibly Mankrik. They’re also bad for Mage to face.
And they’re NOT nerfing RSW, so the future Mage decks of next year are safe from a premature nerf.
This is champagne popping stuff for Mage players. Even in the case of an IF nerf these other nerfs should keep the Mage Class from falling behind.
You didn’t draw incanter’s flow, so it’s unclear as to how this game is relevant to nerfing incanter’s flow.
Turn 2 you chose kobold geomancer over mini-mage. Sticking a stealth mini-mage and letting the spell power stay in play all game should be the choice. Mini-mage would’ve denied him a draw target for Twilight Runner as well.
Please don’t put wildfire to 1. It kills even hero power mage in wild.
So I could have lost less badly than I did. I don’t play the deck. I generally play Spell Damage mage. I just wanted everyone to see how bad the deck really is without the discount of Incanters.
It’s a joke and once it’s nerfed no one will play it, so Mage will have two dead archetypes yet again because of players who whined over a tier two deck.
You’re ridiculous; this is a one game demonstration where Druid had overgrowth, turn 5 Guardian Animals, turn 6 & 7 Primordial Protector. Most decks look like crap into that draw.
How is that ridiculous? It’s not as though I posted something that did not happen.
Without Incanter’s discount the deck is dead against most classes in Standard.
I don’t see that as even exaggerating. I don’t need to be an expert player with the deck to demonstrate that it’s weak without the Incanters draw on mulligan.
So a one game sample size of a bad mage draw losing to a great Druid draw means mage is a dead class?
i fear priest’s resurgence.
No not at all, but Druid is a fairly favored matchup.
You know what? I’m sure it’s fine. Mages were way too good at tier 2.
Gotta’ keep em’ in their place after all…
There has not been a single Mage deck tier three or better, in seven years, that wasn’t nerfed to the ground.
I don’t know why I expected anything different.
