They hard nerfed rogue after a paltry month and the know it alls online in the forum stated that warrior would take a big hit as a result. The opposite has occurred. Warriors are moving up and down the meta obliterating things. When you don’t face warriors, you face six hunters in a row. And those two classes always win the same way, using the same broken, unimaginative combos they’ve always used.
Blizzard, fix your stupid broken game. No one likes to lose feeling like they couldn’t have done anything differently and still got wrecked in the face as a result. That’s the definition of a bad game.

Play warrior, join us! Together we shall overcome those hunters.
Also Blizzard has killed control warrior for 2 years with their infinite value BS, now it’s finally back so I don’t want to hear it.
You’re right. Having turn 2 prep into raiding party, into coin, into a 8/8 edwin was “broken, unimaginative combos they’ve always used”. It was also painful to already lose on turn 3 or have so much tempo going to your face, that no other class could compete.
You have to look at the entire meta. The meta as a whole is pretty powerful. You nerf one card, you’re going to be on the forum crying about another card to be nerfed. It’s why I stopped doing it for a lot of classes, besides pre-nerf roge, because rogue was broken and warped the meta enough to where everyone was running double ooze.
Also, why call everything you don’t like “cancer”? Why does every idiot use such a serious disease to complain about a digital card game? Are you 8 years old?

Baku Warrior would like a word with you. It was polarizing but it was good.

Baku Odd quest warrior was not control, it was “get my weapon so I can kill this guy.” It was 100% aggro
They were two different decks.
Baku Quest Warrior was a tier 1/2 deck that gave-up the 100% win against aggro for 80% win against aggro and a way to beat other decks.
Baku Warrior was a tier 2 deck for most of Boomsday and RR that was the most polarizing deck in the meta since it basically auto-win against aggro and auto-lose to Combo-Control that wasn’t Priest and had issues against other Control decks as well.
Edit:
Also how in the hell was Quest Warrior Aggro… it physically can’t kill fast enough to be aggro and the hero-power is essentially anti-aggro synergy, lol. Baku Quest Warrior was one in a long line of these Control-Combo-‘Infinite Value’ hybrid decks of that era.

Say what?
That deck was a slightly more draw-happy Control deck with a damaging wincon. That’s it. There were some matchups where you were literally better off not equipping Sulfurus until you’d run your opponent dry. That’s mot Aggro in the slightest.
Aggro decks don’t focus solely on taunts, removal and armor gain.

Anything that hits face at any point in the game, with anything, is aggro. Real decks win through inflicting boredom.

My hostage shaman with ice cream pedler would like to agree.
Sadly, blizzards own stance on boredom as a wincondition does not agree with us
Baku warrior without quest was a strong popular deck.
Also, quest warrior was absolutely a control deck, the quest reward was just there as a wincon after you already handled your opponent’s threats

Rogue is still good. On stream someone (rdu) did play the old rogue list in top 100 legend and he did gain ranks with it.
Rogue is even better now because the weapon sticks which is easily worth the 2 extra mana you spend on prep/party. They still lose to warrior but warrior is struggling a bit himself, having lost their prime target and being vulnerable to counters which have a high percentage against them.
Its good to see rogue is still there,we need them.

Do what I did. Start fresh in a different region, or make a new account. Play through the new account experience. I have been having more fun playing against the practice bots using only basic cards than in ranked. I learned a couple things already. One, I am much better than when I first began. Two, the cheating AI.RNG in expert practice mode feels the same as opponent ranked draws when I am on a long losing streak. Only, because the bot is limited to classic cards, I feel good discovering a deck of basic cards that is able to consistently win as an underdog. Tonight I will begin climbing the ladder with these same decks that use only basic cards. I do not know how many games will be against non-meta decks, but whatever. Does it really matter what deck I run while facing meta decks? The games versus players that run cards from basic, classic, and a small number from current expansions will make the whole experience feel worthwhile.

Baku Warrior was indeed a control deck, the Faceless-Direhorn Hatchling version was built around fatigue. The more polarizing Baku Dragon Warrior was also a control deck that was good. Both of these version were good enough to hit legend with and neither one ran the quest.

I still see rogue in tournaments and on ladder, so…

Oh get over the “cancer” word. Its used in a different context so relax. When viewed in the context of this game, there are plenty of CANCER decks and cards. Its fne to call them that since they ruin everything and cant be stopped. Like a tumor.

Rogue still has an insane amount of good cards. They will be fine .

Hitting Legend with those decks was a shore of monumental proportions, given every game was super long.
BTW, I never encountered one of those Ice Cream decks. Azalina/Elise makes sure I could tie those games since my Shudderwocks would clear the board with the Dynomatic Battlecry. It’s bizarre because the bombs that attack the Shudderwock (since it’s not a mech) come from your Hero Portrait.
Trust me, you dont want to. Shudderwock can (still) glitch the game BADLY as, or against, a “tank up” Shammy. A couple of days ago Dane was playing it (not the peddler version, his Armour Bug version) and he literally logged out and in 5 or 6 times, in a single turn, and the rope STILL wasnt burning. That was after a “small” Shudderwock turn as well.

Jihad meta has happened. ITs all bomb warriors and bomb hunters now. Time to wait for balance changes
