Just reached legend in standard, found it very disappointing that there isn’t a reward for reaching legend in both game modes.
There should be a special card back or a special neutral portrait (the Inn keeper) for reaching it.
I usually just play wild because there is just more deck variety there, and the balance is better because everything is broken. However, I reached legend this season too quickly, so, I just decided to play standard to get legend on it.

Congrats, I agree with your intuition there should be at least a special achievement for those who got both
I don’t think I ever have, never tried
Simply maintaining a sufficient collection, if only just a select few decks, especially as f2p, warrants congratulations, but everything else, regardless of that, is that much more admirable

I remember when I did it in Standard. I felt the same way. Haven’t played Standard since lol.
But I think there should be more reward for climbing to legend afterward too, in both formats. Once you have the card back there is really no incentive to grind.

I asume you are a standard player, because of your post in different threads.
Try it out!
Wild is super fun, because there is a “meta”, but there are a bunch of decks that are off meta that are viable to climb.
Don’t be surprised if at 1 game, the game is over at turn 3 (Garrote), and the next game you end up in a long game where value plays a role. The mode is way more diverse than standard in a great way.

And a reward for getting top-100 in the standard mode for the first time not in the first week of a month (because I have done it today
)

I’m kinda surprised there isn’t rewards for both ladders. The decks are vastly different so the card pool you need to climb is different. People climbing both ladders means more packs sold.

I"ve done it in the same month twice now (legend in both). Some type of acknowledgement would be nice!

I get why a game doesn’t do this. It’s like having in World of Warcraft an achievement for doing hard core Raiding for the World First and at the same time doing PvP for the best rating in the game which are completely different things.
It seems more important to go very high in score on Legend of Standard or Wild.
Sure. But achievements in HS are meaningless to anyone but yourself - unlike with almost any other game (e.g., Steam trophies), they aren’t visible or even knowable by anyone else. It’s just a nice little trophy on your little personal trophy case. They reward far weirder things with achievements.
Card back? Sure why not. Also harmless.
Right now there are only 7 achievements in Ranked (and one is for Classic so not earnable any more). Why not 8?

How about a free standard pack every day if you log in and a bonus if you log in a specific number of consecutive days? Lets just turn it into WoW daily busy work and REALLY make people sick of the game.
Not really. Nobody cares about a guild’s achievements in WoW either. Only if they go near world first.
Similarly in Hearthstone, they do care if they see you being top 50 consistently.
I haven’t played wow in like 2 years, but for pugging raids it is pretty much a necessity to have AOTC and a few raid logs to get consistent invites. Something, similar with M+ and raider IO.
We were talking there about the “personal glory” of achieving something. Nobody cares in hearthstone for the most part, but they do care if they see you near the top of Legend.

I was talking about the actual Achievement (capital A) in game, not the IRL achievement of something like top legend.
I have several tens of thousands of Achievement points which are 100% useless in every single regard.
And WoW achievements are publicly viewable, which HS are not, which makes them not even useful for bragging rights.
