Did everyone see how theorycraft for Druid is with the new set and how brokening it was. I mean it even made Ecore 100 quite the game.

Nah druid with spell damage, discount, ramp and mage spam can’t possibly be broken. No-one said this would happen, and mage cards certainly won’t get nerfed because of druid.

The HS team has always (for some odd reason) greatly ignored how powerful spell damage really is in this game, which almost always leads to some broken BS.

People call me a pally shill when I say this, but… this is what happens when pallies aren’t at the top/OP.
See, when pallies are OP, at least they’re OP on the board (usually, and even leeroy can be deterred by taunts), and they don’t usually mess with your own stuff. This means even as you lose, you can still put up a fight. There might even be counter decks if you’re willing to sacrifice your other match ups.
With other classes, you may not get even that. There may very well be no board for you to interact with and try to put up a fight. Their win cons may very well ignore your taunts or other defenses you have. That is, assuming they don’t mess with your stuff so that you can’t play those defenses at all (e.g in druid’s case, they may steal your mana while ramping so you can’t play your defenses)
It’s funny that people often call pallies boring, but look at the alternative. ::Russel Crowe impression:: Are you not entertained?

Yeah, that’s why I said usually.
When even the class that’s not known for OTKs from hand is getting OTKs from hand to keep up, you know the power creep’s gone mad(der than usual).
Luckily (but also unlucky because it will probably wreck the first 2 weeks of PIP) people have already figured out the OTK decks and they are sure to be a sentiment failure, so a quick nerf is likely. It’s at a point where it won’t be able to be ignored due to its power level.

True but they nerfed shockspitter for the first time after a few weeks of it existing, and Demon Hunter was nerfed day 2 which is why it’s called day 1 demon hunter. Easy to either ban or change mana costs on some cards if they are an issue. Harder nerfs are high cost cards or mechanics that need to be nerfed.
Sure, Blizzard is able to do fast nerfs, the question remains: Will they? We have to live and see.

The OP talks as if to assume druids will be OP (in the next expansion), and I was working under that assumption.
So I point out that when a class that isn’t pally is OP, it’s usually stupider than when pallies are, for the reasons i stated. And as I said to another poster, I said usually, not all the time. Maybe the meta was healthy in that hunter meta, but that doesn’t detract from all the other metas where pally is on top and the meta was healthy. If anything, it reinforces my point since hunters actually are quite similar in pallies (lot of aggro/pressure, likes board, not a lot of stealing/ramping/burning cards and the other mechanics that usually earn way more rage out of people)
