The worst deck in this meta is ... (surpise included)

Plague DK. After playing enough of this meta, I just can’t help but settle on the fact that this single deck limits the entire meta. For example, if Plague DK didn’t exist, we’d have tons of Reno decks countering sludge warlock.

Then, in my opinion, we’d have at least some variety. Some of you might prefer plague DK over Reno decks, and granted, they both take about as much skill to pilot (that is none,) but at least there are many flavors of Reno decks, like Shaman, Druid, Warlock, Warrior, etc.

Plague DK, in short, is the linchpin that is holding this cesspool of a meta together. Remove this toxic deck and the game will open.

Reno decks are too slow to beat Sludgelock.

Best bet is to out-tempo Sludgelock with lots of summons. Stuff like the 1/1s that summon 1/1 tokens for Paladin or Soul of the Forest in Druid. But Sludgelock would be a 55+ percent winrate anyways so you know

I smell a Sludge Lock main here xD

highlander needs a counter, if plagues would be gone there should be at least a decent neutral option to meddle with your opponents highlander deck.

Highlander’s weakness has always been consistently drawing it’s wincons. For every game your opponent gets Brann on curve or got old Reno right when they are on low* health, they had two other games where those cards were bottom 5 in the deck and they were playing a gimped version of a bunch of different packages.

Not to mention highlander gets a lot worse post rotation thanks to losing cards like Astalor, Queen Azshara, or Steamcleaner.

I know that is to supposed to be their weakness, but this comes from a highlander player. I love highlander decks but hate that reno is such a fantastic payoff while the 7-drop tauren is so lackluster.

With all the draw power and filtering getting reno on turn 8 is pretty consistent, sure there are games where you won’t but thtas part of the risk, I prefer a counter play.

However, instead i’d probably prefer seeing deck build restriction when it comes to highlander, where you can’t put multiple copies of the same card in a deck when going for highlander. it’s annoying it is also just a fantastic late game card while running powerful duplicates (yeah i know, 1/10 games it screws you over, so be it)
