Basically, everyone knows at this point what’s going on. Hearthstone is unplayable for the past week, the freeze that happens with a few specific cards has expanded to a few couple more affecting the majority of the most popular card en EVERY game mode. Right now not only PC is affected, being mobile and tablet in a worse state resulting in multiple crashes in different menus.
Blizzard will not fix this soon, we already know. But they NEED to take accountability for this.
The amount of players (including me) that lost not only time, but resources and progress in Arena, ranked (any mode, including twist) and the worst case, the Heroic Tavern Brawl, need to be compensated for this.
In Asia the players are rewarded more than 30 packs for a mere error in connectivity when the servers are at fault we don’t get NOTHING out if this situation.
They let this situation run for more than a week and will be like this for another one, it will affected the world’s championship and they just don’t care.
It’s a sorry situation for the developers that really want to fix this but lack the resources from the higher ups.
Blizzard, dear developers, I had a large talk with the support team and after acknowledging that they cannot speak or redirect stuff to the dev team, they sent me here. It’s up to you now. Fix your game, take care of your community and your most profitable game, you are already losing a lot of people because of this single problem (without talking about the other lots of problem HS has) and Streamers can’t actively play on Stream and the whole community is rioting this time.
Fix your game, compensate it as how it should be and how it deserves and after that MAYBE you will regain SOME of the trust your WHOLE community has lost on you.
Don’t let this game die Blizzard, we know the Ben Bride era is far gone, but listen to your community and take care of it, it’s the only thing you really need to do, that’s all.

Not sure why I still follow Hearthstone on reddit since I quit the game couple of months ago, but the issue made me really aware of the games impending doom. No wonder so many players left the game and more will be if they do nothing. As I have seen Asia has a it really great. They get packs for even the smallest inconveniences. I have said this many MANY times that the game is dying but I got downvoted since people were breathing copium and alas here we have it. The dev team is really struggling for some reason. I know there’s this blog where we can complain and eventually they’ll fix it. But not every single player is gonna type it here. I feel like the devs are only looking right here or on youtubers’ videos to see if the Whales are happy. You gotta look at Reddit and many places to make your playerbase happy. To be fair, one dev even responded to one of my posts when I had an issue. But he basically repeated what the support system did and that was the end of it. Also the recent transparency on their YT channel as to what is coming is great. The best example of this would be Supercell with Brawl Stars. Their transparency is close to none. The community manager Frank responds to the most asked questions on Twitter, and the devs actually listen. They sometimes even do podcasts with a youtuber who asks the question directly and they answer everything truthfully and clearly. Once a bug is found, they are quick to react, actually state when the bug will be fixed (next balance patch, maintenance break within 24hours or that it doesn’t affect gameplay and therefore it will take longer to fix)
Constant powercreep, P2W features and overall lack of care for the playerbase is what’s gonna bring this game down. They just can’t seem to find the right balance and I’m here for it.

It helped me to stop playing this game, so thanks Blizzard for giving me sock, I am my own master now! TEN THOUSAND YEARS I ENDURED IN THIS PRISON.

As a longtime player, there’s been plenty of issues with the game, despite the boon it’s been to the developing company’s income… but the fact that the last few weeks have seen sustained problematic behavior from the client, a factor of the game you’d think would be the most well taken care of, this speaks to an overall culture of negligence and almost contempt for the player base that permits that boon to exist.
When coupled with the revelations that certain markets are favored over others, this burgeoning suspicion grows ever faster. Now, basic marketing suggests that most consumers will go along with whatever problematic issues exist with a product, so long as the basic foundations remain intact, but the fact that the game can crash at ANY moment, and that entire turn’s worth of activity can simply vanish into the ether, suggests that the smug disconnect between developer and consumer has reached potentially dangerous ground.
Sure, that certain market can dump a ton of cash in a heartbeat, and that obviously gets them more attention from the money men, but let’s not forget that that market is also notoriously fickle, and a largess today might be a famine tomorrow. The market you’re currently stiffing with the refusal to fix the basic functionality of your product is the only market that’s going to give you stable and reliable income… and no market is immune to boycott, if things get bad enough.
Now is the time for equal treatment, to bring us up to the parity others have gotten, or you risk losing the entire venture in a market that now has more options than ever to go elsewhere.

Blizzard should fix this ASAP and provide compensation to the players for the inconvenience. A company of this size with these resources should be able to triage, resolve, and communicate much faster and more effectively than they do.

This utterly unacceptable. As a longtime and paying customer of Hearthstone, it’s disheartening to play a game in such disarray. I can’t play a game without being continually disconnected or being able to reconnect to a game causing me to lose many matches. Instead of coming up with more money grubbing schemes on how to sell us another reskin of Ragnaros, fix the client. Never have I seen a company so dismissive and repugnant of its customers or unwilling to take action. The game is UNPLAYABLE!!! FIX THIS BS OR BE A DECENT COMPANY AND OFFER YOUR PLAYERBASE SOME KINd OF COMP FOR THEIR TROUBLES.

I’ve got to thank the OP for starting this tread. The only place you will find this corruption taking place is in politics. This company only cares about screwing over it’s players. Skin after Skin, and never once acknowledging that they are aware that folks struggling to make rank are wasting their time because of crashing by playing a card. I seldom wish things go bad for even bad actors, but with all my heart I hope Activision and all their money schemes efforts like COD abuse fails.

As a player who played this game since 2014 and spent probably couple thousands of dollars during those years (stopped when introduced runestones) I can confirm, that state of this game is terrible and I uninstalled the game and battlenet for now, until something gets fixed and I don’t only mean the client, but also most oppressive deck in Wild - Demon Seed warlock with darkglare, healthstone, mass production and 80% winrate.
If you do something about this + fix the performance of your game, I will consider to buy next pre-order after looong time, but if not, I will probably just give up on this game and maybe watch on youtube only the best YouTubers for when I miss the game, cause even though most of the time it’s terrible experience, it’s addictive.

I love to play Taunt Warrior just to get a Freeze when I play Yogg and that’s not the only issue I have for months…
all my love to blizzard

I also lost an Arena run because of this bug. Pretty infuriating in a mode where you have to pay. Also because of the money I have already spent on the game. And of course the 10 years spent playing off and on. Thanks Blizzard for the wonderful gaming experience, the zero responsibility and total lack of compensation.

Blizzard is a joke, they ruined overwatch, they ruined CoD, now they’re ruining hearthstone. Disgraceful.

We the fans need to be rewarded for playing this broken game that continues to get worst and worst every update. Game freezes and disconnects EVERY GAME!!! We continue to support you and all blizzard does is laugh in our face and we lose ranking and games because of it. ASIA is rewarded with packs? Where is the equality for your player base!?
Why don’t you guys reward your loyal fans for putting up with such a bugged game for the passed decade.

How do we promote the game with word of mouth when it breaks every game? Maybe if you rewarded packs for the trouble people could see through it.

It’s been unplayable for years!!! The game freezes all the time! Why would new players even try this game. It makes me want to quit and I’ve been play off and on for a decade. Maybe they want us to quit the game?

The reason this won’t be fixed is that blizzard knows you’ll take it and keep spending.
These kinds of posts are illuminating and show the operating model of hearthstone.
There is a large rotating strata of players trying to play on slightly lower spec/ older devices and, after dealing with these issues for a couple of months, quitting again.
Whales don’t seem to understand that this game doesn’t provide fair competition, and the accomplishments you’re feeling are often due to to a mixture of luck and technical issues on the other side.
You’ll keep spending on this game and you’ll love it. Enjoy!

they don’t care anymore, they got whales to back them up and they do w/e they want and we can’t say boo about it.

I think if the whales continue to log in and buy everything, Blizzard would be happy to let it stay in a state of being unplayable.

Well said. Yeah the support on this side of the pond is absolute crap and always has been. The key is to stop giving them money. I don’t know. I mean no one expected blizzard to maintain any kind of standards once they were bought by the likes of Microsoft. If you didn’t know it was all downhill from there then I don’t know. Have you try playing the war within on wow? Oh my God, it’s the most horrible horrible expansion. So I don’t think it’s just the dev team at hearthstone. I think it’s blizzard overall. They’ll be phased out soon.
