The perfect version of BGs

The anomaly Golgannoth’s Tempest: Minions cost 2 gold. You cannot refresh the tavern, it refreshes itself after you buy a card.

I absolutely loved this anomaly. It is somehow the perfect balance of being fair and being a challenge. Even when I picked the hero that gets a copy of the first minion I kill, it was still not enough of an advantage with a lobby full of either mechs, pirates, or undead. (I went undead, only 2 others went the other 2).

Unrelated: Why is the tier 4 undead minion that grants an extra summon so effing rare to find for me and not for others? I see people with a golden one before I even find my first one. Its usually turn 12 or later for me. Anyone else having that sort of bad rng?

That’s my most favored anomaly as well cause it changed the way to play and favor an optimistic play with less fishing.

Nah had the same problem but for me it’s mostly about Gem Rat (for quillboar buffing) and San’layn (for undead + copy), so with cards you really wonna get early or opt for another strategy if you scale to late. At least i have the feeling my luck getting them is way worse compared to other t4 drops (even when nobody has a lot of them and so many in pool). But like i said it’s maybe just a fealing cause you really need them early or change your plan and you shouldn’t force a strategy and waste a lot of gold for rerolls if there are other valid options.

Ive gone with a build, lets say, beasts, since pretty much the opening of the match. I can make it to tier 6 and round 19 with around 16/17 gold per turn and STILL not have encountered the t4 undead/pirate minion in my own taverns. It seems the only method of securing one is if Im playing the heroes that can either refresh their tavern to their last opponent’s warband, or somehow obtain one from another players warband in some way. (I dont trust the buddy minion that lets me take the 2nd one i kill as it is almost as useless as just getting the first usually). So essentially the spell for the wonderous orb for 2 refreshes if im extremely lucky and it doesnt give me say 7 copies of a tribe im not playing at all with the odd benefit of them all having divine shield when they dont normally lol.

*PS: yes, Im certain im in lobbies with either undead/ pirates when im looking for this guy lol.

Wow you hit turn 19? I think i never make it that far since if the game isn’t over with turn 14 you’ll keep dueling with the same enemy mostly for the first place. But if you stay so long in game you are on the winning site and probably don’t even need him and maybe even reroll him by mistake. With a lot of gold to spend and if you give up a plan you don’t look that active for it anymore.

Probably even a good thing without him if the enemies share the same fate. And if some of them already played a lot of copies there are less picks available in the card pool maybe a factor as well.

Easiest way to get him is with hero powers like stealing from others with Scabbs and Tess, explore with rat king or replace minions from same tier with Malygos. But it’s never good to force a strategy if you don’t get the needed cards, so it is like it is. :smile:
